For us it worked - we had to buy a number of rolls to spread out (they stayed interconnected) well beyond the area where the feral cat was urinating etc and we held the perimeter down with wood to keep it secure - the provided plastic stakes did not appear to be sufficiently robust to hold the rolls down - so in the end cat has been deterred -

Bought this to keep my cat off the couch. This does not fit a normal size couch. Not wide enough. You will need two. does not fit a Normal size couch. You will have to buy 2.

It seems to work well but it comes with only a few flimsy stakes so I bought extras from Walmart

Excellent. Plus can be cut to size wanted. After receiving one a couple days ago I just ordered two more for other areas to keep out STRAY CATS from killing birds that I feed on my property. (I keep my cats indoors only). These mats don't hurt cats but keep them from wanting to walk on them.

Does great for keeping cats off things you don’t want them on like computers. They adjusted very quickly and know if that’s there they shouldn’t be.

Used these on our stair treads to deter our Cheweenie from going upstairs … nope, didn’t work. She just walked right on it as if it wasn’t there. Will have to go back to using gates.
