I got this specifically to try to stop neighbourhood cats from crapping in my garden beds. I cut it up, buried sections it very shallow dirt in the garden.It worked! No more daily cat crap for me to pick up.

Very easy to place in area. Used it for garden to avoid neighbor’s cat from using the area as a litter box. So far no sign of intrusion. I purchased the color black to blend with the mulch color used.

Good stuff. I used it outside to keep the dogs from walking right along the fenceline (& thus allowing no grass to grow.) Staple it into the ground, put seed on top of it and the grass grows up thru the mat. Out of sight, but it pricks the dogs' feet.

The Cat Scat Mat with spikes has proven to be a useful tool in certain scenarios. Its effectiveness varies depending on the application. In narrower spaces, like covering our receiver, it worked like a charm – my cats avoided the area completely.However, in wider areas, my cats seemed to tiptoe around it rather than being deterred. It’s not a one-size-fits-all solution. On the positive side, cutting the mat into smaller pieces allowed me to tailor its use, and it worked wonders on the couch, preventing unwanted accidents.While it might not be foolproof for all situations, the Cat Scat Mat can be a valuable asset when applied strategically. If you have specific areas you’d like to protect and the dimensions align, I recommend giving it a try for its overall effectiveness in those targeted spaces.

I have about 6 cats who like my house for whatever reason. I don't want to hurt them, but I would prefer they stay away from my house. They pee and poo everywhere and it smells awful. Plus, they fight or mate by my bedroom window at ungodly hours when I am trying to sleep. I bought this to discourage them from doing any of those things in specific areas. It has helped A LOT. They still do all of those things, just not by my entrance where i put them anymore, so visitors (and myself) are no longer greeted by the smell of pee and poo. And no more crazy loud, scary sounds by my window. Will likely purchase more.

Bought these to deter outdoor critters that were getting into my plants that produce food. I don't want to use chemicals on those plants as deterrents since we will be eating from them.It comes rolled up, so when putting it down, it wants to roll up. Secure the ends and partway thru on the sides with landscape staples and it will stay down. I say this because it will seem at first like it won't stay down, but it doesn't take much to make it flat.It can easily be cut with regular scissors to accommodate the area needed. I even cut a slit down the middle to go around the plant.The spikes are a little flexible so if you step on them, they don't break and they don't hurt much. But it is enough that it seems to deter deer, squirrels, chipmunks, etc.I even have one section in the grass in my yard. The spikes are low enough that you can weed-whack overtop of them and the grass then isn't too high.
