I have an adorable but naughty 18lb kitty who sometimes expresses his displeasure by doing his business on my sofa. After trying everything to get him to stop, I decided to order the 12"x60" shock mat. It arrived in a nice box and was already partially charged. After fully charging it, I set it up on my sofa and realized it wasn't quite long enough for my three-seat sofa. This mat probably covers a two-seater very nicely. No problem for me, as I laid it out toward the right side armrest and put a box on the left part of the sofa it didn't cover.I attached the device to the mat with the little snaps and turned it on to the lowest setting. Of course, my husband had to try it by touching his hand to it, which he immediately pulled away. He said it was strong enough for our cat to get the idea, which made me feel TERRIBLE. How could I possibly give my cat an electric shock and be okay with it? Well, the next morning, I went to the living room to find that my cat had peed on the mat! I think he got shocked, turned around, and just sprayed on it. I was so mad that I didn't feel bad anymore!I cleaned the mat really well, let it dry, then laid it out on the sofa once more but turned the shock level up one more notch. Later that afternoon, my cat ran over to me, hissed, and bit me, and stayed angry with me for a few hours. In general, my little monster is the sweetest cat on the planet and has never lashed out like that, so I assume he got shocked. He has not done his business on the sofa since and avoids it altogether when the mat is on it. We don't even turn the shock feature on anymore but do keep the alarm active.Overall, I would recommend this product. It is a humane way to train your pet when all other options have failed. The battery lasts a long time as I've not had to recharge it since I started using it over a month ago. The only thing I would change about this device is to have an indicator on the display panel that shows how many times a pet has stepped on it.I received this Redmogo Scat Mat Electric Indoor Training Pad for free with the promise of an honest review through Amazon Vine. The list price today is $42.99, which is a great deal for anyone needing to show a little tough love to their pet.

Our cats would rattle the bedroom door at night. 3:30 am, 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30. I would have to get up and squirt them with a water bottle to get it to stop - then repeat it all 55 minutes later. What a nightmare! But no longer!I had my hand on the mat when I put the battery in and I yelped immediately, lol. Family members thought I was really hurt. It wasn't that bad really I just wasn't expecting it, the static shock. It was enough that I didn't want to repeat it and I'm now very careful when I change the battery, lol.The cats must feel the same thing, cuz I sleep thru the night uninterrupted now!Actually just bought another to keep them from peeing in a corner!The green light is VERY bright at night, so I put some dark tape on the housing to reduce the light pollution. Otherwise perfect device! I did invest in rechargeable 9 volt batteries, although I don't know how long a battery will last in it, but I don't want the 3:30 am rodeo again, so now I'm prepared!

It definitely works except on my part Maine coon, she is so fluffy she literally just lays on it, And it definitely sends a shock when you accidentally touch it yourself.

Unlike another brand we tried first, this brand works 100% of the time. It totally stoped our dogs from leaning on our windows. We put them on the floor below the windows.

My two cats learned not to walk over the training pad after the second experience. I don't have to worry about the locations where the kitties should not go. An excellent solution for my cats and me.

I have bought a couple PetSafe ScatMats and they worked great. This one looked very similar and was quite a bit cheaper so I took a chance. The indicator light is on all the time but the mat doesn't shock. So it's a product that uses the battery to power an LED indicator light and that's it. It's useless crap. I already thew away the packaging before I tested it, so I won't be returning it (which is a PITA anyhow). But will make sure I never buy anything from this company, REDMOGO, again. Stay away. Invest in the PetSafe mat product that's more expensive, but does the job, unlike this POS. Would give ZERO starts if I could.

This worked really well for my cat. I had tried many things already to keep him off of a specific table. He received one shock and will not go near it now. It's mild, I felt it myself, so I don't worry that it really hurt him. I don't even have to have a battery in it now. Just the sight of it keeps him away.
