My foster kept jumping on the bay window sill and destroyed multiple plants (there’s only about 5) in an attempt to attack any delivery vehicle in the neighborhood 😂. So I purchased these and placed them on the floor in front of the window. I gradually removed them one at a time after a few weeks and he hasn’t been up there again. Has worked perfectly. I did accidentally step on one myself and it does hurt but doesn’t puncture the skin. The points will bend if enough weight is on them. They’re clear so not too unsightly. Inexpensive way to keep him off and I can reuse if needed.

My cat was mad at me, but my ornaments stayed on the tree, kitchen table, and countertops. They worked the first day because they hurt when I'm moving them. Everyone in my household learned quickly not to get too close with no shoes on.

These were a little to sharp for me to use

These mats make a cat go the other way. No cat can walk or lay on them. They won't injure the cat but will send him packing. I keep them on flat surfaces near my outdoor bird feeders to protect the birds from cats laying in wait and launching towards them. It works.

I think it's a good idea to keep your cat off the furniture. Whether the cat gets the idea after a while depends on your cat. The only thing I find that it's a little too prickly. I believe that the idea is to cause discomfort and I believe it goes a little beyond that. I put my hand over it and it actually hurt a little like a pinch with a needle. I don't know, maybe my hand is too sensitive.

It only worked when they're down, but as soon as I remove them, she's back on everything.

My 4-month-old kittens jump on it and love to chew on the spikes. The reason I'm going ahead and giving it 4 stars is that I don't think my kitties are typical. My kitties like to eat tin foil so not terribly surprising they're gnawing on this. The spikes are nice and tall and sharp, just like they should be. I love the flexibility. I think this would work great with more normal kitties.

I love how easy these are to use, and the best thing is that they actually work. I was finally fed up with my cats using my dining room table as a bed and always having to clean and disinfect my stove top and kitchen counters every morning. So far I've used them and they worked on my table, sofa and stove. In the morning I just remove and tuck them away in a closet and bring them out before bed. I wish I would've known about this product years ago. It's great!
