They do the work they’re supposed to but it’s not so malleable and hurts my fingers when attaching them into the little holes. But it worked to keep my dog put of my couch without hurting them. I just wish it was easier to handle.

After the second big-dog ruined living room couch in 10 years, I decided to try this scat mat with the new couch, about 4 months ago. After a few attempts by the dogs to get on during the first weeks, they SEEM to have accepted that they can't get on the couch any more. It didn't work with the cat - he was able to skirt the scat mat and then tip the throw pillows onto it. Then, he'd take a nap on the throw pillow, much to envy of the dogs. Right now, the scat mat stays in place whenever the couch is not in use by humans. I think I'll give it another few months before seeing if the dogs will stay off WITHOUT the scat mat. If the dogs start claiming the couch again, I'd rather deal with the scat mat than dog-stink, mud, hair and the occasional gnawing on my new couch.

We have several feral cats in our neighborhood and they have started to use our covered golf cart for weather protection and our flowerbed for a litter box. We tried a couple things that didn’t work, then I found these. Easy to work with and a definite deterrent without harming the cats. We did order extra ground stakes and zip ties which worked great.

We put these on our couch so our cat would stay off the couch. They definitely work good he does not like them.

The review would have been 5 stars but the strip was broken at about the 8' mark. Apparently my dog does not like this stuff, she had stopped digging along our fence line where ever I place this material.
