The points were sharper then I would like, it hurt my hand getting it out of the box (not breaking the skin),but I was afraid it may hurt my cats if they jumped a distanced and landed on them. I didn't want to chance it. I returned them.

I’ve tried lots of things to keep my cat off my aquarium and this is the first thing that worked. I received 10 sheets promptly and was able to cut 2 of them to fit the aquarium perfectly. Problem solved.

Buy this product. It works. It's somewhat sharp to the touch when handling it and that's a good thing.

I really wanted to like these. My brother in law uses spike deterrent mats for their cats, so I had high hopes for similar results with our cat when I saw these. Unfortunately, these aren't doing a whole lot of deterring. They are thin, flimsy plastic, similar material to a plastic "to go" box from a restaurant. The spikes are too short, about the size of my finger when I place my hand next to it. I do like that the package came with several of the mats as well as some adhesive dots to help with positioning, and that I can sort of overlay the edges of two mats if I want to cover a larger area (think interlocking Lego style), but I really wish they were more effective...my cat eyes them suspiciously, then just walks a little more slowly on top of them.On the plus side, my kids have decided they make an excellent oversized hair comb that doubles as an odd-shaped back scratcher, so there's that!

I got this to use in a couple areas I don't want our kittens to walk in.It seems to work well for one of our kittens. The other one doesn't seem to mind just walking between the spikes. lol that might change when they get a little bigger though.They are quite durable and can be cut to size. The tape included seems to stick well.Overall I'm happy with it. It seems to kind of work. Might be hit or miss depending on the cat.

I have not placed these yet but I have a feeling that this will keep the cats off the counter when we move to our new place. Unless of course they are weird and like to step on pokey stuff.
