Pretty useless for me. My idiot cat walks and sleeps on them. Is she a masochist? Maybe.Each one has a bit of a flat edge around it, so when put side by side, it gives a small path that ninja cats can walk down. Cheeky little things...But yeah, these mats are useless against nature's cutest, most innocent looking assassins. Go figure.

I was having an awful time keeping my rescue puppy off the sofa as she was wont to pee on it. Imagine her surprise jumping up and landing on these. It seemed mean, for a second, but she’s now very serious about contemplating another jump, and won’t if I show her the scar mat. Well worth it. I don’t need to admonish or retrain her. She trained herself.

I love these mats! They are great quality, the snaps that hold them together are brilliant - unfortunately there were not enough snaps to finish putting them together and that was aggravating. I’m not going to take it all apart to return but where in the world am I going to find more snaps like that? Kinda dumb. Otherwise this product is a 10! I’d like to purchase another set but I’m hesitant because of the missing snaps, more mats won’t make a difference if they can’t be locked together. I couldn’t figure out how to contact the seller without leaving a public review. Maybe they’ll see this and send me some extra snaps for my mats 🤔

We've tried everything to get our cats to stop going to the bathroom on our second floor landing. This is the only thing that has worked, and it's been a game-changer! We thought at first that walking on it would deform the spikes, and there is a little deformation that happens over time, but overall the pieces hold up extremely well and even after a few spots get beaten up they still succeed in deterring our cats from going where they shouldn't.

I purchased this product hoping it would deter our cats from going in areas that we do not want them (e.g. on the kitchen counters). The "spikes" are not effective as cats paws can easily fit in between them and our cats would just walk all over these mats. Also, the mats are very lightweight, so it is extremely easy for our cats to just push the mats out of the way. You would need to attach the mats to the surface (e.g. to the counter or to the floor) with very strong adhesive or glue, but we would not want them permanently attached. It wouldn't help anyways since the cats just walk all over the mats anyways as the "spikes" do not cause them any discomfort and can fit their paws in between the spikes.

Cat is not deterred except for the ones atop the TVs. She just walks across the or tries to sit on them. Did like how many came in the box for the price and how easy they are to cut. Now I double/triple up in hopes they’ll be a bit more solid and sturdy and cat won’t like them any more. I used double-sided tape to get them to stay put on edges of shelves, dressers, and TVs.
