I haven't tried this for cats but it works to keep the squirrels out of my beds! I got sick of those little guys digging up my raised beds and planter pots so I bought this to deter them. Works like a charm. Strong and sturdy. Give it a try.

I purchased this to lay out on my counter to keep the cat off. It comes in a roll & doesn't like to lay flat. I've had it out for several weeks trying to get it to lay flat by weighing it down & taping it down (which is a pain in the butt) & it still likes to curl up on the ends. Plus the cat just tends to walk over or around it. Going to have to try something else.

My neighbors have several cats that think they own my front patio. After dirtying up the furniture, putting a couple holes in the cushions, and leaving a hairball, I decided to give this mat a try. It works perfectly. I was able to cut it down to size very easily and secure it to the patio furniture by folding the ends under the cushions. Now, no more cats. Cheap and effective, and a good alternative to those ultrasonic cat deterrents that unfortunately can bother your dogs if you happen to have any.

Ring camera caught cat sneaking in my flowerbed. She stepped on mat, her back arched up and it scared the piss out of her. I cover the mat with dirt, she was taken by surprised…she hasn’t been back lol oh yeah!!!! The cat owner was warned for years to keep his cats of my yard for years. The cat mat worked from me! I have spent over $400 with things to deter the cats.

This product is effective in discouraging cats from using the garden as their bathroom by just making it uncomfortable to step into the area. Without damaging cats' paws, it discourages their entry.

I placed the mat in the backyard along the travel path of the cats. I actually witnessed multiple cats walking the entire length of the mat (8 feet), unimpeded.

I read every review on Amazon for products to deter rabbits which have destroyed more than $400 of perennials in 2 years. I used a deer proofing company last summer - no go. Bought coyote urine - ugh, and a no go for that. A powder from Lowes - no. Cayenne pepper, garlic, irish spring shavings, human hair - no. Believe me, I tried homemade mixtures - everything, including a pest company - Big Blue Bug in our area. This product works if you install like I did. I have chain link fencing. The bottom can be pushed fairly easily and rabbits run right under it. What? Don't these creatures have bones?! Same for the space between the door and the post - they can run right through the space. So I folded the mat in half with points facing outward; zip tied to the fence, and used galvanized steel landscape fabric staples to tack down the mat. The mats do not come with enough staples for this job. So I bought MySit 6" Garden Staples Landscape Stakes Ground Pins 100 Pack, Heavy Duty 11-Gauge(3.0mm) Steel - I ended up needing 2 packages. It takes time to do - don't do it in one day or you will get sloppy - and rabbits know when you get tired. I have materials and matting left over and will add to other areas if I see those little buggers again. For the post/door space, I used chicken wire - about 3 inches and zip tied to post. Works fine and you don't notice any of this from the street. Have given 2 rolls to my son and the next door neighbor is now ordering too! SUCCESS. :0)

My cat does not seem to mind the spikes he jumps on them. I had to order a lot of them for him to actually stop climbing the tree as the spikes were blocking his direction
