The timer works perfectly on my boat dock for the hose that washes the saltwater out of the engines. I can let this run while I'm cleaning other parts of the boat. The first timer I received did not function properly. I contacted the supplier and they promptly shipped me a new timer at no cost, which works great.

This timer worked like a charm for TWO months perfectly before the plastic connection between the timer and the brass swivel cracked and spewed water everywhere and then broke away completely when my husband checked the swivel connection thinking that had come loose. This was after the return window but I contacted the company anyway with my concerns and expressed an interest in an all metal timer that would be less likely to break as this one did. Was told that one was being developed and should be available by next year. I was offered a replacement, but I requested a credit. Recently, I received communication that offered me the chance to try the new timer if I wished. I accepted and just received it. It seems to be exactly what I was looking for and THE quality of CUSTOMER SERVICE from this company IS AMAZING. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is because of the tendency of this particular plastic timer to break easily. I will definitely buy from this company again and recommend to friends.

So far the timer mechanism has been working great. I have purchased a few of these items, but two of them have snapped at the hose bib connector. This is a very weak part and should be made of metal.UPDATE: this company responded very quickly and went above and beyond to resolve my issue with this product. They do make an all metal Timer which works beautifully and I highly recommend.

Nice timer. Works well. One snapped off at the faucet when we stretched out the hose. Not sure if it has any higher flowUpdate about a month later. Another timer snapped off where the brass collar connects to the outbound hose. I had a 6"stress relief hose between the timer and the hose bib. This is the second one to break in the same place. The company replaced the first one.

A simple, clock-driven timer- give it a twist and you are watering! No learning curve. No programming. No batteries. It has lasted us a season, looks to be ready to go for next year.You should put it up for the winter, dunno what would happen in a freeze. Yes, you have to visit it each day, or whenever you want water, but you're in the garden anyway, right?Only drawback- if this is your only watering controller, it has to have a babysitter if you go on vacation...Good, simple value for the price.

The item that I received seemed to have a defect, However, I contacted the company and they promptly replaced it. The customer service was excellent and I do like the Simplicity of the product. It is very easy to use. I am giving them a five based on the fantastic customer service.

I've broken two of these in within a month while watering plants. The are made of plastic and both times it broke off at the faucet as I was pulling the hose around to move from tree to tree. I tried to be more careful the second time but even that wasn't enough.I will not be getting a third, since it seems impossible to NOT break this with normal hose use.

UPDATESept the top connector just sheared off from the attachement. I contacted Rainpoint and they responded immediately and after sending some photos of the problem they promptly sent me a replacement timer.Great customer service and products that they stand by.-----------------------------------------------------------------------Great little water timer.Arrived well packed and even included a small roll of plumbers tape for the tap threads.Very easy to set up, put plumbers tape on the tap connector, and the other end of the timer, then attach the timer.Dial is easy to read and turn. Simple operation with no batteries.Turn it clockwise to set to the time you want the sprinkler to run - anything from 5-120mins. If you want to turn it off before the time is up just turn counter-clockwise. Also has a feature to run the water without the timer.Works really well, now I don't have to remember to set a timer in order to turn the sprinkler off.I have another Rainpoint timer that I really love also.Great product and great company.
