I had an Orbit digital that lasted a lot of years (30) and the digital display started to act up intermittently. So, looked at the Big Box Stores (wow - Big Prices!) I settled on this unit and it installed seamlessly in a half hour. Easy to set up & program too! Only time will tell me if it’s up to par with the longevity of my prior unit.

Just unscrewed the old one and disconnected the wires then screwed in this one and connected the wires in the same way. The instructions are very good. The old one had stopped working altogether - nothing on the read out after about 8 years of service. The new one after turning it on, was programmed for starting times and lengths as instructed in the manual that came with it. Works as it should without any issues. Good value for the price.

My old sprinkler controller went haywire and wouldn’t stop running. I liked what I saw of this one. It is simpler to use than the older style. I had it installed about a month ago and it is working just fine. You may be able to install it yourself but I didn’t feel capable.
