I have been using this product for a few months and I'm not convinced in its accuracy. It seems to do well with small volumes but lacks when using large volumes. The reason that I bought mine was for filling up my hot tub. My hot tub states that it should be filled to 370 gallons or roughly 6 inches below the top of the hot tub. I proceeded to fill with this product attached. When the flow meter showed 370 gallons, the volume of water was sitting below my hot-tub filter and I measured 12 inches below the top of the hot tub.Out of curiosity, I kept filling the hot tub to see what the flow meter measurement would be when I reached 6 inches below the top of the hot tub...I reached 510 gallons on the flow meter. This may sound like a minor issue this completely alters the dosing volume of chemicals to balance the water.I decided to run another test at lower volume. I had an empty gallon milk jug and 5 x 5 gallon buckets so I started to fill them. When I reached the top of the milk jug, the meter was at 1 gallon. When I moved over to the 5 gallon buckets, the flow meter measured different for each bucket but was always over 5 gallons, so much so that it was at 8 gallons for the 5th bucket. My thought is that this does a good job of measuring small amounts of water but as the volume increases it struggles to keep up.

I used this meter to tell me how much water I added to rv tanks. Seems to be accurate and easy to use. No leaks, easy to screw on and off. Glad I got it.

REVISED: I contacted the seller when this stopped working and they had a replacement to me in three days!! That’s some great customer support :)ORIGINAL: This meter was great until it stopped working, which was only a year after it was purchased. The photo above shows the dials at zero even though I’ve been running water through it for over ten minutes.

Excellent for use with my RV water use monitoring. If you are like me, I like to know what goes into my RV so I can anticipate what is stored and what needs to come out.I use this as well when cleaning my tanks (monitoring flushing volume) and also gives me the exact volume of water for limited filling (3-5 gals each) my black and grey tanks during the journey from location to location. I highly recommend this item for all RVer's and have even bought them as gifts -I like them so much!

We use this for counting gallons when filling our RV’s freshwater tank or for the black water tank when rinsing it out. It helps to prevent messy overflows. To aid in installation and use, install common 6” hose pigtails to the RV inlets, then install the meter on that- it gives you something to get your hand and fingers around. We have checked its accuracy by filling a known 5 gallon bucket and as far as we can tell without getting out the lab equipment, it’s close enough to spot on. Highly recommended.

I don’t know how I got along without this. This little product makes it so easy to monitor how much water I am putting in my RV tanks. I mainly use it for filling my black tank for a good flush. After dumping the tanks following a camping trip & flushing the black tank. I like to fill my black tank with about 15-20 gallons of water and add chemical cleaner to it for the trip home. The drive home agitates the water and does additional cleaning. Once home I am able to dump & flush the tank (I have the ability to dump at my home). It’s surprising how much additional waste comes out after doing this. This product allows me the ability to see exactly how much water I am putting in my tank without the guesswork. And without having to keep going inside the RV to look down the toilet & guess how much is in there. A wise investment & addition to my RV tools.

I only used this once so far.I am using it to measure the amount of water I put into the black tank on my camper when I'm flushing it clean. (Don't want to overfill!)This meter was really close filling a 5 gallon bucket. The only real concern I have is that it's made of plastic. I connected a 90 degree elbow so that the water hose would hang straight down and not put sideways stress on the connection.I really like it! I hope it holds up...

We had about 10 days of perfect weather and decided to drain the pool and perform a chlorine wash of the old plaster. While cleaning the pool, we decided to purchase this P3 Water Flow Meter after reading the reviews of leaky meters. When it was time to fill the pool, we placed this meter between the bib and the strain relief for the hose. After 39 hours we had 11,488.2 gallons of water in the pool and turned the water off as we did not wish to stay up all night (better to fill it while we are up, then to wake up to a pool that has overflowed). The next day we added more water and again stopped after 4 hours, then later on that day we filled it again for another 2 hours, this time adding 570.4 gallons. In the end we filled the pool a total of 45 hours and found out the pool used 13,220.2 gallons of water. It was important to know how much water was in the pool so that when it was time to add chemicals we could know exactly what quantity to dispense. For instance it was recommended to add 64 oz of liquid chlorine for each 10,000 gallons of water. Simple math meant we were to add around 84 oz of chlorine. At first I thought the meter was leaking but it turns out our hose bib has a faulty gate valve that leaks and will need to be replaced. There are no shortages of projects when it comes to maintaining a house.
