The rev2 hose valve is much better for battery life and has longer Bluetooth range.Note: the rev 2 hose valve will only match a rev2 WiFi hub and the rev 2 WiFi hub will not link to a rev 1 hose valve.Homebridge will link to both revisions of WiFi hubs.

Super easy to connect to the hub and programming was a breeze. It works great and I love that I can control it from the b-hyve app along with my sprinkler system.

For any Australian buyers this does have an NPT thread and needs a GHT (BSP) adapter. It does come with a quick connect fitting for the hose though.Runs well with the V2 hub and seems to have better bluetooth range than my XD (could be imagining it)

Thought this Gen 2 would be an upgraded version with less issues. Installed it along my current Gen 1 hose timers plus my Gen 1 Wi-Fi hub. Removed everything from the app and program and reconnected the 2- Gen 1 hose timers without issue. Started the same procedure on the Gen 2 hose timer. You would not connect to Wi-Fi hub. Only available control was Bluetooth. Contacted customer support of bhyve. First of all they don't read what you write and keep asking you the same questions that you previously answered or provided numerous times. They finally say, the Wi-Fi I have is Gen 1. Yeah no kidding I told you that. I told you I purchased it with the 2 Gen one hose timers. Will the Gen 2 timer does not work with the Gen 1 Wi-Fi. Wouldn't it be good to put in the sale listing? Every other device that I've ever purchased the future devices are always backward compatible. Typical Bhyve crap. Initially had nothing but problems with the Gen 1 timers Even though there were 4 foot from the router. Forced me to buy a Wi-Fi hub. Now I purchase this thinking that I can get improved software and Wi-Fi radio and just add it to my existing system. Of course not because Bhyve isn't that smart. Absolute garbage They want me to spend another $45 on a hub? they can go screw. I'll remove the whole damn system and replace it with the competitors. Go read my Google review. Top 10% of reviewers in the world I'm sure that they won't like the business getting hit by me.

I had the WiFi hub and hose timer but the timer stopped working so I just bought another one. It didn’t really sync with the hub and I never got notification that the drip line watered but it did. Only thing is is that the hose timer would always say it was disconnected. It didn’t work as good as my original. I ended up returning this unit.

This integrates nicely into Home Assistant which is what I was after. The app is a bit clunky, and these can be a pain to set up initially. Make sure you have the Gen 2 hub. It won't work with anything else! These have issues where they sometimes don't report battery level properly, and then won't work. You have to factory reset them by pressing the button on the timer 5 times, and then re-set it up to fix the issue. This was a pain in the butt, but now that I know how to fix it, it doesn't bother me anymore.

The standalone 90205Z that ships by itself does support the Bluetooth to Wi-Fi hub. I bought my hub years earlier with the flood sensor starter kit. The 1 star reviewers should have called support to figure this out. One thing to note is that I did update the firmware on Bluetooth before I connected it to the hub, so maybe there was a bug on older firmware that was causing issues. So far, the smart water scheduling is awesome! I do hope that they last, as I have an older non-smart orbit timer that has 3 bad solenoids of the 4.

The work great. I use two to water potted plants on the deck and porch and it has kept our plants thriving. The other runs the raised beds. The smart watering is awesome and saves water by skipping if it is raining or will. I tied them in with home assistant for more control.

I used 3 of these on a 4 way hose splitter for a summer so far and they worked well for me. In the bhyve app each one is listed as another system. You don’t have the option to group multiples together into a system with multiple zones like the more permanent installed systems but once I figured that out they were a pleasure to use.
