Septic pump station for residential septic system with drain field.

My three-tank septic system requires a pump to feed the leach field, possibly because the field "failed" at some point and the solution was to install a pump to extend its life. This pump is powerful enough to be able to drain a 1000 gallon tank in just a few minutes into the air, but it takes a while to force the liquid into the leach field. To lessen the strain on the pump, I installed a faucet in the output line to control the pressure, which results in some liquid recirculating back into the tank. This of course slows the progress of the pump, but eventually it does the job. The pump appears to be well built and has worked flawlessly so far. Since my system is hardwired, I had to cut off the plug and strip the wires, but that was no problem as the plug wire is long, and easily reached my circuit box. The last pump still ran after 20 years, but the body had corroded to a point where it was no longer sealed. This one looks like it will last at least that long... at which point I probably will be in Boot Hill and it will be someone else's problem.
