I use this pump to pump water out of a cistern to water my yard. It is a powerful little pump and worth what I paid for it. My only issue with it is the plug for the primer hole. I am not sure who designed this thing but it most certainly doesn't work as designed. The pressure created by the pump blows the plug straight up and out and anyone standing nearby gets a shower (in some not so pleasant water). Customer service was on point when I asked for a replacement for the first one. However, the second one did the same thing. So, I ended up going to Ace hardware and bought a screw in, brass replacement plug (from the plumbing department) and wrapped it with teflon tape. Again, so far, so good. But, if the manufacturer would do something different it would sure work better. My suggestion is to include a brass plug with each pump.

Looking for a water pump, one that is used little and doesn’t cost a lot. Thought I'm would take a chance on this one— used it 3 times now and it has work flawlessly. Worth the money all ready.

Cautionary Tale: Beware of This Pump!I had high hopes for the VEVOR Cast Iron Water Transfer Pump. Initially, it worked great, handling a large volume of water efficiently. However, my experience quickly turned into a nightmare.Failure and DamageAfter running the pump for about 30 minutes, I returned to find that the primer cap had blown apart, shooting water straight up into the insulation in the crawlspace of my house. This turned a minor issue into a major disaster, resulting in an insurance claim and significant damage.Customer Service WoesWhen I contacted Amazon about the issue, they directed me to VEVOR. Despite multiple attempts to reach VEVOR for assistance, I received no response. The lack of support and accountability from VEVOR was extremely disappointing.Costly ConsequencesIn the end, I am out almost $5,000 due to the damage, all because I tried to save a hundred bucks on a pump. The risk and hassle are simply not worth it.ConclusionThis pump is not worth the risk. The hardware failed catastrophically, and the customer service was non-existent. I strongly advise against purchasing this product. Save yourself the potential headache and financial loss.

This little pump does the job it is supposed to and it works very well. I am pleased with this products performance… However, do not buy an extended warranty and the manufacturers warranty is null and void if you use it outdoors… as it is advertised for. I contacted Vevor for a week and a bit before using the product after I received it because it is advertised ( I provided two pictures, but you can see the advertised uses on the websites) for outdoor use showing and stating good for rain barrels, ponds, pools etc. however, the manual and the label on the actual pump state it is for indoor use only. I was asking Vevor, if they would honour the warranty of the product failed, while I was using it for the exact things they advertise this pump for. I state again… it is a very good product. Vevor was awesome in the solution they offered me. However, anyone purchasing, at least this particular product, needs to be aware that what the product is advertised for, voids the warranty. It is not for outdoor use. Things like pools etc advertised, the manual literally states it is not to be used for these purposes. So one last time… this is a great little product. I intend to use it for as long as it lasts. Buyer beware though, it is not meant for what it is advertised for and if used for such purposes, your warranty is null and void, if the product were to fail. Pages in the manual I have pictures of but I can’t see the writing as it’s too small so I don’t want to add pictures when I am not sure it is the correct photos. However you can see the manuals online for the product if you look it up

Shipping was fast. Easy to catch a Prime to the pump . Pump has a very fast GPM pressure wise I would say it's in the range of 75 psi or higher. Took 20 minutes to transfer 300 gallon IBC tank of water to another 300 gallon IBC tank using 5/8 Garden hose. That's the drawback pump needs a 3/4" or 1" Stiff hose or pipe on the intake side to get the Proper water supply to the pump. It kept Sucking the 5/8 hose down to Restricting the water flow to the pump . I could hear change in sound of pump running when water was being restricted. That's my Recommendation . Great little pump hope to get many years of service out of it .

I bought this pump to use with Python water changing system. Normally you just connect it to a sink and use the water pressure to gravel vac the tank. Since I have 40 tanks, I waste a lot of water doing it that way. I have this pump dumping into a stand pipe drain. I connect the python to the suction side and gravel vac my tanks. I have the pump connected to a smart plug so that I can stop and start the pump with Alexa. The pump makes all kinds of noises ( these rubber impeller pumps are just that way) it works well, and is much faster than the siphon way of cleaning the tanks. I am happy with it.

This pump does a decent job, certainly moves water very well. But when I purchased it, I did not see anything in the listing mentioning that this is not a self-priming pump. Basically, this means you need to flood your uptake hose with water, so the first few rotations of the motor are not dry. Not a great option for something like this, you really want to self-priming pump.Outside of that one significant omission in their listing, it does a really good job. I'm using it to empty out water in my hydroponic system. When I'm refreshing. It absolutely moves the volume it says it will.Be aware, like many pumps, the size it is exceptionally loud. But if you're only using it for a few minutes like I am, it's really not a big deal.
