Apparently they no longer make this version that is capable of 24 volt operation.I was VERY dissatisfied with the 12 volt operation and contacted them about service.I initially though the motor had gone bad or had a Mfr Defect since it stuttered and stopped and ran slow and asked about a replacement motor but they don't sell parts.So. I setup to do 24 volt operation and it is like a whole different machine.I have a clear hose section so I can watch what is entering the pump and where originally even a small chunk of waste would stall the motor and require major fuushing and multiple on/off cycles to get it running again, now it just powers right through.

I used it twice the first year, and it worked great. The second year, I used it at the beginning of the season, and I just went to use it again for the 4th time ever, and the motor would spin, but not strong enough to push any liquid out. It also blows the fuse I have on the cig lighter, so it appears to be some sort of short or binding.

I bought this pump to replace a failed one that I bought here 5 yrs. ago. The old one worked quit well but had a tendency to get hot and shut off until it cooled down. With this new one from Vevor, I can empty both black and gray tanks and the motor stays very cool and doesn't overheat. It is also quieter than the old one. All macerator pumps may look the same, but apparently there is a difference, because this one works much better and seems to be higher quality.

This Mac pump works great, when you find yourself with a holding tank full of black water and can't move you Rig, then this is for you. Set a tank on a truck and pump from one tank into another so it can be disposed of.

We have been parked / living in a driveway for 5 months as my wife heals from surgery. This pump makes this possible. I am pumping through two 100 foot long hoses to the septic clean out and have had no issues with this pump working. As to parts missing . . . I simply cut the male end off a scrap pc of water hose and used that to connect the hoses to the pump - simple. I did end up doing away with the cigarette lighter type connector and hard wiring the power supply cord / switch to a 12 volt 15 amp. fused source. About 4 inches from the pump there is a pull apart connector so the pump can easily disconnected and stored. I ran the pump for about 45 minutes the first couple of times I used it (just kept checking that it did not get too hot - I was flushing out the tanks) but found later the instructions state to allow the pump to cool down after no longer that 15 min. run time. I have since adhered to that advice. I would definitely buy again.

It accomplished what I wanted it to do. I don't moochdock but I do camp frequently at a rec area that does not have a dump station and nearest dump is 10 miles away, so I wanted to pump from the RV tanks to a portable tank pre-loaded into the back of a pick up so I didnt have to lift it (250lbs when full). I have used this pump twice and found that it actually worked pretty well. I did buy a female/female garden hose adapter so I can direct connect the hose to the portable tank inlet. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and would buy it again.Pros- Grey water was easily pumped "uphill" into the portable tank in the pickup truck.- Black water mostly pumped "uphill" into the portable tank.- Unit was not nearly as noisy as I thought it might be. Was not obnoxious sounding at all.- You can listen for a "hollow" sound when the pump is dry and turn it off.- It certainly feels solidly built.- flushing pump clean afterwards was easy and unit cleaned up nicely.- Macerator fit the RV dump connection perfectly.Cons (Most cons are probably NOT a limitation of this unit, but macerator pumping in general)- On the black water, some of the solids were left behind. Since is does not flow out quickly in a massive stream as when normally dumping, the liquid can still flow but leaves some of the solids behind. Need additional water for flushing/pumping out. Not an issue when moochdocking, but adding more water to flush is not idea when using a portable tank. Still, a lot of usable volume available afterwards.- Gasket on RV connection of pump was loose, so be careful it does not fall out and you loose it.- Especially when pumping up hill, be prepared when you take the pump off the RV or hose off the pump as some water will come out. Have a small bucket or container at the ready to catch any spillage.- It would have been nice if a Garden Hose Adapter would have been included, but at this price, Im not complaining.- Having a case to put the pump, wiring, etc in would be nice. I bought a $13 toolbox from walmart and that works very well.Lastly, will this unit last? Time will tell, but hopefully using it only half dozen times or so a season, it will keep working in the coming years. Hope this helps.

CONS:Outlet nozzle / fitting is plastic (that is a weak point when you are dealing with long hosesRing Clamps (supplied) are TRASH - don't even try to use them, throw them away.Hose (supplied) is not exactly the right size, or is cheap (stiff) and won't seal well.Lead wire is short for this job and an old lighter plug ?@? who uses those anymore ?All that aside the thing works and works well (I pookied the outlet nozzle with some gasket maker to stop the little leaks) add in good automotive hose clamps and we use a good HD 3/4 hose on it. It takes about 5 minutes to empty our tank: we stay on supply water a lot so have a high water to solid content. The back-flush system (through the pump) is iffy. I just use a hose through the toilet for better results (IMHO). We also added about 2 feet of clear line at the end of the hose so we know when we run clear - and we don't spare the back-flushing as well.In the end I'm happy with the setup, and it saves us trouble & money. Our RV parking is down hill from our sewer system, so we had to drive 12 miles to the dump station or stop by there on every return trip (not to mention letting Uncle Joe and Aunt Emma use it when they visit, and we are low on beds). While our 'tote' system worked, it was a lot more hard work than this thing.
