We tried it for a week on a 2100 GPH pump and it just didnt work as it should. Siphon action would not auto start would have to put finger over induction hole and then let go to get it to start moving. Would frequently stop at random. When it did run it would only make a semi circle on which ever side of the hose it was on and frequently get stuck in a corner. once it gets stuck the siphon motion that makes it move would stop and we would have to pull it up restart it and aim it towards middle. We tried it with too much hose and not enough hose and suggested hose length and results were the same.

Didn’t know you needed a hose size .. I figured they are all universal for an above ground pool …. Bummer really.. haven’t found anything that works yet.. for that price

After 4 months of running about 4 hours a day, all is well. Seldom gets stuck, seems to pick up dirt and keeps pool bottom clean. No problems or complaints so far. Will update if required. Great value for the price.Well after 8 months it has stopped working, so if you think paying $11.25 per month is a good deal, buy it.

Owner of a pool for over 20 years and in those years had several pool cleaners(MX8, Navigator). By far this is one of the best pool cleaner with easy to set up and get running doing great job cleaning the entire pool.

Not bad for the price. These old vac haven't changed in the last 30+ years but still work for most people. This model costs only a third of what most similar versions (different brands) and a fraction of the newer, smarter gear-driven vac. Also, it uses the same diaphragm and skirt as the Zodiac G4 for 1/3 the cost. You can buy four of these as compared to one Zodiac and if each one last a couple of years then it's a win-win. Do note you'll need to "roomba-proof" your pool. The fewer built-in underwater features you have in your pool, the better. These things work by scooting backward in the direction of the connected hose. So, the hose needs to bend away from the obstacle to turn. This is done either by adjusting the hose shorter or longer, blocking the steps with a toy, etc. I tied a long string on the opposite end of the pool to pull the hose when the vac gets too close to the one corner/step it gets stuck at. Not a bad replacement for my worn-out gear-driven vac.
