I have now used the Vingli for a year and wanted to write a review of this product. First off the price is very inexpensive. Ordering through Amazon and the delivery like everything else there just as easy. The first setup and use is a breeze. Functionality it works as it should. It might not suction the exact whole bottom of my pool but it does keep it clean from debris. During the winter months (in TX) I did turn it off because we have numerous large trees that change their leaves and large leaves do not work well with any of the cleaners that I have used and nor with the Vingli. This is not a problem for a few months since we are not using the pool. The diaphragm rips after some time but they are very inexpensive and I always have an extra laying around. With normal usage (witch would be for us probably 2-3 10 hour days per week for the cleaner) I think I am on my third diaphragm for the year. I read somewhere that with the Baracuda pool cleaner they recommend monthly replacements. I just use it until it rips and change. Two weeks ago the main housing bracket cracked. (a very simple plastic skeleton piece) so I contacted Vingli to see if they sold just that part. Didn't think they were and was ready to purchase a whole new cleaner. After two days they emailed me back for a picture of the broken part and I did. The next day I was emailed a tracking number with explanation that they were sending the broken new part, free of charge. What a customer service. I received the part and let me tell you the whole unit is so easy to work with since it is a simple construction (and needs no tools) so it was back up and running in no time. Thank you for great customer service and a great working and affordable product. I highly recommend this for any pool owner.

I bought this after seeing the positive reviews and the reasonable price. Another similar model, sold by a more traditional pool supply equipment company, sells for 4x as much.Assembly was easy, the owners manual is pictorial, kind of like the seat-back instructions in an airplane. It took all of 5 minutes to put the circular flap disk on (fins up so the flat side contacts the floor) and connect the necessary hose lengths.I hooked it up to my wall suction valve and it immediately began pulsating and moving around the pool floor and walls. There must be a special valve in the body of the unit that uses the water vacuum pressure to bounce the circular flap disk along. This does an excellent job of kicking up the pesky algae that likes to grow in the crevices of my pebble tech pool. Unlike self-contained motorized units that kick up algae, this one will do a good job of sending it to your filter. The unit climbs and moves over contours and into curved corners well. It works well on steps and corners too.My unit does get stuck in one particular place in my pool. It suctions itself to the floor in a corner by the stairs. I am fine with this being its only flaw. It's just one of those chance things.I selectively place this in my pool when it is time to clean. I'm not sure if I will leave it in the pool indefinitely.

I would've given this auto pool cleaner 4 or 5 stars because for the past 2 months it's done a pretty great job. I started to notice the plastic converter piece that attaches the hose to the skimmer hole was literally getting bent out of shape. Even went to Leslie's to see if they had a more durable replacement piece but they didn't. So I continued to use. Well last week I noticed my auto pool cleaner wasn't working. Checked on the connection...and the plastic connector piece got sucked down the pipe by my pool pump. 😬😡 I've tried to back flush it out of the line with a plumber bladder but no luck. Now I have to pay a pool service $150 to come out to HOPEFULLY flush the line and get it out. The line runs underground. I'm praying they can get it out and it doesn't cost me a fortune!Update: well this plastic piece made it all the way to the 90 degree elbow near our pump. Pool service had to dig and replace part of PVC line. Not happy.

I've used this for just over a month. It seems to work pretty well. It gets most of the pool and does climb the walls. Once connected to my vacuum port I have to make sure all my other outlets are completely off. Both skimmers and the main drain need to be completely off. I have a 2Hp pump. I'm not sure I'd recommend this for anything smaller. Also, the hose seems OK, but it's not really long enough to reach the entire pool. My pool is an 18x36, which I think is kind of standard, and my cleaning port is in the center of one side, which is the best place for it. But with the length of hose included, it doesn't reach the opposite corners. So if you're going to connect it to a skimmer, you will likely have to move it from one end to the other in order to clean your entire pool. I'm currently using it with a standard vac hose which I purchased from Wal-Mart. It was longer and cheaper than buying more sections. The construction of the vac is just plastic, but it seems OK and was easy enough to assemble. It only took a few minutes. I think it will hold up pretty well. So not a bad purchase for the price. I don't think I would have been very happy paying 2 or 3 times this price for a different brand.
