These seem to last as long as the more expensive brands (coated or not). No data to support it but my experience is they seem to be a better value.

I run these bits 8 hours a day and rotate between three of them and than clean them after and they hold up awesome! I use them on a cnc machine. If you keep them clean they stay super sharp. When these dull out I will order more!

Used to cut speaker driver holes in 7-ply cabinet-grade plywood. Using a circle jig, these cut super clean holes, with no burning or tear-out. I went a little fast at times, and the bit cut cleanly, and did not break. Worth the money.

For my money, Whiteside router bits are the highest quality, best/cleanest cutting router bits available. They stay sharper longer than any other brand that I have tried. Bonus points for being American made in North Carolina.

Great bit. Compression bits are the way to go if you really need to reduce or eliminate fraying and blowouts along the cut edges. I like Whiteside products anyway, but wasn't sure how this one would handle being subjected to plywood almost exclusively. It started out plenty sharp and made super clean cuts. It did finally wear down, but gave me a reasonable amount of use life. Fit my .25in router well. Plenty of shank for the chuck, while still having a long cutting surface. Helps reduce vibration and bit flexing. As with any bit, cut at the right depth and right speed and you'll prolong the lifespan even more. I'm buying another one, kinda says it all.
