The bit comes in a very nice plastic storage box that is inside of a flexible vinyl container. Inside the box is the router bit which has a vinyl cap on it to protect the bit.I installed the router bit into my router table. I proceeded to make some test cuts with this router bit against melamine, plywood and hard maple. The results from using this router bit were nothing short of spectacular. This bit flew through the wood like the wood was butter. Leaving behind a perfect cut in all the woods. The cuts were perfectly smooth and flat.I have multiple bits from this cellar and have not been disappointed in any of them. Highly recommended!

Nice bit, it is true to size and is sharp. I have used this bit for one project and it performed wonderfully. These tapered bits real work good for 3d cutting. Really nice bit.

Very nice carving bit. First cuts were very clean. I can't speak to the long term sharpness of it yet, but very happy with my first project.

I got this bit along with another bit from the same company. Some of the the pictures are of both, and they'll appear in both reviews. The packaging for both of them is very nice which I really appreciate. They are very sharp, and have no visible imperfections. I'll update the review if they dull quickly, or some quality problem becomes apparent. The price is fair for the quality so these are a very fair value. At this point I consider them perfect - 5 Stars!

I bought two of these, a longer one and a short one. This is the longer, which I will be running at slower speeds to keep from snapping it off. These are sharp and cut well in wood, but I know they are brittle and will snap off if I do anything wrong while jogging or misfeeding. My first set of mills did not last long, but these are working great so far.

I've had my CNC for a bit under 3 years now and this is the first bit I've gotten with really good feed and speed information. This alone impressed me but it wouldn't mean much it the bit wasn't good quality as well. No worries in that regard, the bit is very sharp and the coating give a nice rainbow effect (the sharpness helps with cutting, the rainbow effect is probably more for attracting unicorns - but I still like it).My CNC is currently down for maintenance so I haven't done a cut with this so I'm basing the review on inspection only and will update if I run into any issues.Overall, I'm glad to have this bit in my collectionItem: EZ43338 2.5° Tapered Ball Nose CNC Router Bit 1/4" Shank, Industrial Quality Extra Long Life Coating Carbide Spiral End Mill for 3D Carving Engraving, 4 Flutes 1/8" Tip Dia x 1-1/2" CL

This 3.6-degree tapered ball nose CNC carbide router bit is a specialty bit for making carvings in wood or similar materials. It has 3 flutes and 1/4-inch shank. The tip diameter is 1/16-inch. The bit also has a proprietary coating to reduce friction and increase life. The shank is marked with the company logo and the bit size. An instruction sheet with suggested feeds and speeds is included. The 1/4-inch shank and taper make this a stronger bit than a 1/16-inch ball nose cutter. It also doesn’t require adapters when your spindle is a trim router. In use it worked well. This is a well-made carbide tapered carving router bit.

I don’t own or have access to a CNC router, but I do own three routers and have taken a rather recent interest in doing finer work with smaller routers that are made to create details and more delicate points. In my world, this router is one of those, to be used for crafting or carving interesting shapes or plunging at various depths to form patterns that have shadow and depth. The router is made from carbide and I can assure you it is sharp. With some care, I expect it to last a good long time, especially with an avid amateur like myself (not a high demand enterprise).I simply put it in my palm router and left enough of a contact to just make a shallow groove that barely cut through the paint on the scrap I used. I don’t have much technique with free hand router work but the bit did what I wanted in this case, just to make some converging lines that in another dimension might look a little like a tree in winter. It was fun and the bit did its job just fine. The operator has a long way to go.In any case, this seems to be a well made piece of equipment that does what it was designed to do. I look forward to using it in my plunge router and carefully experimenting with its wider uses.I recommend it!Be bold and follow your creative path. It only has to be art to YOU!
