The Thule ski rack was easy to install on my 2018 5th gen toyota 4runner. Came with all the tools and 2x keys. The quality could be a bit better. My old Thule racks were much sturdier when you opened them up. But all in all $185 for the pair wasn't horrible.

We love this ski rack for our ski trips to the hills. Ours hold an adult snowboard and two sets of skis without any issues. I love the quality of Thule products and will continue to purchase them for all our outdoor adventures. For the price, you get an amazing product with this Ski/Snowboard Rack. If you are thinking hard about this product, you will be happy, unless you need to travel with 6+ skis/snowboards.Enjoy :)

Super easy solution for getting around with multiple boards/skis. Although tough to maybe see, I could easily fit a total of one snowboard and three pairs of skis.Only watch out is for anyone who's shorter, I recommend always putting a snowboard (if applicable) in first. With a short wingspan, putting in a pair of skis in the furthest/first spot makes it very tough to get them out. I had to open my sunroof to push them closer to the edge so I could reach them. Putting in a snowboard first and then the skis is a solid option and allows me to optimize the full rack.

The actual unit works great and I'm sure the lower price is reflecting the simple installation. But you have to install it with a torx wrench. It means you can't easily take it off. It's definitely a unit you will be putting on at the beginning of the season then taking off at the end wondering where you put the torx wrench (I put it in the glovebox). Consider buying a unit that has more convenient attachment; but it if this is OK the unit does work and and fits easily 5 pairs of skis. Oh, and make sure if you have a flip-up rear tailgate, that it doesn't hit the skis! The first time I opened my tailgate I jammed the tailgate right into the tip of the longest skis. They stick back further than you would think.

I purchased two of these for both my vehicles, living so close to the mountains you never know when youll head up for a ski day. These are very high quality, really simple to install and to use. Thule makes such a good product. The one issue I have is the allen wrench it comes with is a star shape. it makes it nice if theres good contact with the scews but if you tighten just once or twice without it completely pushed in, it can easily strip the screws. It would be nice if it came with just a couple extra screws incase this happens. Other than that, its a great product.

This ski rack has been fantastic this season. I have used it multiple times and my skis have always been safe and secure. I love that it has a locking feature that allows me to leave my car and skis in a public place and not worry about them being stolen. They were very easy to install to my roof rack and easy to use after for the skis. It was also nice that they were cheaper than the official website.

I got these 1 day before we were going skiing, so imagine my frustration when I saw in the directions, "If bolts are too short, the Thule Xadapt7 (available separately) contains longer bolts for crossbars between 1.25-1.75" / 30-45mm in height." The rack on my Hyundai is indeed more than an inch thick. That would have been useful to put in the PRODUCT DETAILS section of the product, as that is critical information. I would have measured my rack and ordered the bolts along with the ski rack. Instead, I had to race down to Home Depot and buy 8 bolts and 8 nuts, and luckily I got the last 8 bolts that size, otherwise we would have been out of luck. A 15-minute installation turned into 3 hours including my time at Home Depot. The day after skiing with my kids, I called Thule, and while the guy who answered agreed to mail bolts to me free of charge, he never even acknowledged that the product description on Amazon is a problem (let alone apologize for it), and acted like his sending me the necessary parts was God's Gift To Customer Service. I don't know how else to describe the call other than what might be called "Toxic Positivity.” When I pointed out that they should change the Amazon description and that the current description was essentially bait and switch (don't tell a customer they might need to order another part until AFTER they've purchased it), he responded in his best professional friendly voice something like, "Rather than 'hashing out' how Amazon lists our product, how about we just provide you the bolts for no cost, does that work?" So apparently when a customer brings an issue to the attention of Thule in hopes they will address it for the benefit of future customers, this is dysphemistically called "hashing out." And apparently Thule only does the right thing with customers if the customers shut their mouths in the phone call. It was either "hash out," or receive the bolts that should have been included with the $200 product in the first place. Not to mention he is implying that Amazon.com itself is responsible for product descriptions; Amazon does not type product descriptions for any of its sellers. Sorry Thule, that's on you or one of your retailers, not Amazon. The only reason I’m not giving the product 1 star is because the product itself is 5 stars as far as operation and functionality are concerned (although maybe I'd give it 4.75 stars since the key is hard to get into the lock hole sometimes - I have to jiggle it for several seconds every time to get it all the way in the hole, and then one time the lock was stuck - I couldn't get it to lock). It is the incomplete product description, missing bolts, and customer service that are 1 star. This averages out to 3 stars.

Initially worried that the bracket would not fit the cross bars but fits well, sturdy with key locking feature, could not find an equivalent ski rack for the same price

Fit just fine on my 2020 Subaru Forester factory bars, quiet (barely hear it at highway speeds), easy to assemble, easy to secure and lock! Loving it - makes life a lot easier when headed to the slopes :) some reviews mentioned missing tools or keys, a friend ordered the same rack with missing wrench, but I was fortunate to have all pieces!
