Screws are digging into my jeep no matter how we move them around. Afraid it will break glass. Takes at least two people to put skis in and lock up. Lock wouldnt work well on day 1 and didnt work at all on day 2. I now have a sip tie keeping the bar from falling. There is rust on all the bolts which are leaking down my white jeep. I would have returned but bought early and waited until the snow came to put it on so too late to return. Great idea but not made well. I would NOT suggest buying.

Reviewing JOYTUTUS Spare Tire Ski Snowboard Rack with Security Lock, We live in the Rocky Mtn West. We frequently go boarding but hate needing to load/unload our boards, so they don’t get stolen every time we turn around. The fact that this has a built-in security lock intrigued me.My husband installed it. He said it was intuitive to install, which was lucky because there were no instructions. There were a few places where it would rub if you installed it without putting any protection between it and the back of the jeep AND he had an issue with the hooks not fitting on the bottom, but he was able to manipulate them by bending them out more and he added his own foam padding in the places where it rubbed, that made for a perfect fit. The utility is great and once you have it installed, it works great. Just be sure you are able to mod where needed. If you aren’t comfortable with that, I would pass on this one.

Before getting this rack, I used to carry my snowboards in a snowboarding bag which took a lot of room in my highlander, and now I'm really satisfied with this rack. Firstly, fits all 2 inch reciever which most suvs and truck up to 2500 or 250 have 2 inch reciever. Second, it folds, so whenever don't need it could be fold and takes less than 1 minutes to do so. Third, it comes with lock, so it's anti theft. Forth, since it's a great fit, doesn't ahake and it's noise-free. Highly recommended.

In concept this is a fantastic product. In reality it is poorly executed. This doesn't fit as designed and required significant modifications to work. As reported by some jeep owners the hardware is not only too long but will not fit with the Bronco. I'm pretty bummed out as I scratched my paint following their directions.

This things advertised for a Jeep, bit will also scratch the crap outta your jeep. There a bolt thats way to long at the top tire mount bracket that sticks out way to far risking scratching/breaking of your back glass if you use it. Needless to sat the install did not get completed. Will have to try to find different hardware to buy if i want to use it. Which for the price point......you shouldnt have to

I was a little disappointed it didn't fit properly out of the box, but the excellent support team worked closely and effectively with me to work through some easy modifications to make it fit. This is a high quality sturdy build and so muchh easier for my wife to load compared to our our roof mounted SUV rack. I would definitely purchase other items from this vendor.

It did not come with any instructions but it was pretty intuitive to put together. The only thing that did not make sense and I decided to not use are these spacers/feet that go on the top hooks. If you put these on, they are too close to the back of the Jeep and the screws in my case would scratch my window. The hooks lock on to the tire well without them in my case (Rubicon so bigger tires), so it was not an issue. The bottom hook though took some bending to get it to fit. This really needs to be better designed but it does work.It easily fits two larger snowboards or multiple sets of skis. The locks on the bottom hook keep anyone from steeling the rack, and the locks on each bar keep anyone from stealing your boards. It is a pricey investment but if you do a lot of boarding it is the way to go.
