I REALLY wanted to love these! ...but the scratches on my car from my snowboard falling repeatedly make it really hard to stomach. These work great for holding SKIS - but NOT snowboards. The problem is the depth of the supports standing off the vehicle isn't deep enough to hold a snowboard steady. If there's any breeze at all, your snowboard will act like a sail and the supports won't stop the board from twisting and falling over. Skis are much narrower, so they don't catch as much air and the supports are sufficient to keep them from falling. Overall, I'm disappointed with how these perform for snowboards.

I do both skiing and snowboarding, and I like to avoid having my equipment on the parking lot ground as much as possible. I don't want scratches on my bases or my cars! These did a great job of keeping my skis/board upright, and I find that just one of these is enough. Make sure that you have a magnetic surface somewhere on your car that you can use. The angle that you stick these onto your car may also impact your ability to keep your equipment propped up, the angle that these stick onto my truck is just perfect so ymmv. The magnetic surface is padded, but I'd still be careful not to drag dirt across the paint of your car when installing/removing these.

I ski a lot and have leaned my skiis or board against the car with disastrous results more than a few times. After getting these, my skiis haven't fallen once. They are such an elegant solution. These are especially good — I have a friend who has a different kind and its not as good. The width is wide enough and the pegs are long enough and the magnet is strong enough, which all-in-all makes for a great product. I'm quite pleased with it, and I think it would make a great gift.

What helpful little gadgets! I had seen magnetic ski rests on cars previously, so I decided to give these a try. SOOO glad I did! These are awesome. So nice to not have your skis and poles balanced against the car, just waiting to fall and possibly scratch our own car or the car next to us. The other ones I had seen were a single longer one, but I like that we can have one on each side of the car (and a spare in case we lose one!) They are not rubbery like I had anticipated, but with the spacing of the little arms on them, I don't think it would make any difference. I'm eager to try these in the summer for fishing rods and maybe even for balancing bikes. I really find these so helpful!

Holds well enough not to slide. Even stays in place if you leave it on the side of the car.There is a no scratch back to it but I would recomend cleaning it frequently to avoid scratching.

Great product! We always have trouble managing skis and poles while loading and unloading our truck for skiing, and these holders do a great job of keeping the skis where we put them. I received three magnetic holders with a soft overmolding that definitely won't damage our skis. The strong magnet on the back holds securely to the metal bed of our pickup truck, and there's some kind of soft material designed to reduce scratching of the paint. I didn't notice any scratches but our pickup is for using, not looking at.The only problem i have is remembering to remove them from the side of the truck before I walk away!

Just received the product and tried it on the car. Works well, but to be honest I wish it were a bit smaller - for skis, it seems it is bigger than needed (only reason I'm reducing a star). I had to move it to a different part of the car where it could be placed higher to miss ski bindings. The instructions state it should be removed while driving, but I doubt it would fall off in moderate speeds. I plan to leave on for the 15 minute ride back and forth to the ski area (50 mph). I will update this review IF it is a mistake to leave in place. The title is misleading implying it is only for snow boards, but it works for either skis or boards. I saw a friend with something similar last season while we were skiing. A magnetic ski holder is a great gadget to put on your car to prevent your car from getting scratched or your skis getting knocked over while you're getting ready. The ones I've seen appear to be silicone with magnets embedded. When this arrived I was hoping for something similar but it appears to be hard plastic. It will do the job but hard plastic in cold environments doesn't always do the best. It can be brittle or break. These will do the job however, I just wish they were softer to the touch.
