- Works well with the 'SANGMUCEN 9ft Patio Umbrella'.- Base is solid when filled with water- Easily held umbrella on windy days - within reason- Easy to move the umbrella, by putting the base on it's edge (with the umbrella folded) and just roll the base to a new spotNitpick: It would have been handy to have had the hole for the water removal at season end, a bit raised, so that when you drain the water, the now inverted hole would enable you to ensure all the water has been drained.

We order a box of these, and 3 of the weights had holes in them and could not hold any water. We ordered a second box, and one of them had a huge hole in it!!If these were made to actually hold water, they would actually work really great.

I did a lot of shopping around for umbrella stands. The solid ones are too expensive for the heavier ones that give you faith they won't blow over. These allow you to fill easily with water or sand or wet sand so that even with just water they are heavier than the more expensive solid stands. So in my mind, they are the best of all worlds. Cheaper and heavier and easier. Easy to fill, easy to clean, easy to move.

The product works well. We filled with water. One of the segments was leaking so I contacted the company and they sent me out a replacement segment quite quickly. Good customer service. Good product even if a bit expensive.

First time using an umbrella stand like this. I really like this option because since it is in four pieces, it makes each section very manageable instead of one extremely heavy base. I think that makes it easy to move and umbrella around. It is quite big, but since it is low, it doesn’t stick out too much I think it’s a great value and very well-made. It’s a very nice look Because it comes apart, it’s very, very easy to manage

I needed a replacement patio stand. I had a composite stand that cracked down the middle.I passed on iron stands as reviews said they rusted after a few months. This stand is perfect. I just assembled the sleeve with enclosed allen wrench and use a hose to fill the stand. I removed the sleeve top for my 20 foot metal pole for my weather station. The pole is straight as an arrow. Very sturdy and nice looking. I would recommend this stand for the price and ease of assembly.

I can turn the umbrella by hand, the upright tube doesn't attach to the base. However, the wind doesn't turn umbrella

The photo and the product aren't quite the same. The base is really big but it will hold my umbrella with the two screw knobs. I will fill it with sand and it will never move.

I love this. Works great, easy to use. My only issue is when it gets over 30MPH winds on an 8ftwide umbrella. You'll need a bigger heavier one. But for those small gusts it's great.

While these weights have held up for at least a couple weeks and seem durable, I cannot shake the memory of the nauseating chemical smell they gave off while opening and filling them. While they may be made of HDPE plastic which is apparently safe, I would question the “UV and weather resistant coating”. The smell was obnoxious and screamed cancer. Buy at your own risk, but I am extremely skeptical as this product is made in China. I question the research and regulations of products like these.

The weights provided the stability to my off-set umbrella which is 13 feet long and 10 feet wide. I live in a cold area where the winters are below freezing, so I used sand, as recommended, to fill the weights rather than water. The fill hole is only about 1 inch wide, so I needed a funnel to pour in the sand. Worked ok, unfortunately I used play box sand which was washed and was moist and substantially increased the fill time. having to push in the sand due to the moisture. A dry sand such as sand used for a concreate mix would have allowed for a faster fill, but I found was much more expensive. Because of the stability, I bought another set for a 10 foot ambarella.

Every one of these things leaks, all 4 pieces. They come with little rubber seals that fit in the tops of the lids, but they do not stop water from leaking out. The screw on caps are made in a way so that they can't tighten all the way down. If you twist them to tighten them down, they just pop back loose again. I've fiddled and fiddled with them...I've tried tightening as much as I can, right before they pop back loose again. I've tried tightening down just barely. I've tried everything in between. No matter what I do, they leak. These things were not designed well, at all. I want to use water because it's free and because it's heavier than sand...and because I'm fairly certain attempting to fill these things up with sand would be a total PITA. I guess I'm gonna gave to permanently seal them with locktite or some other kind of sealant. I'm going try mixing a little antifreeze with the water, so that I don't have to worry about it freezing in the winter. Hopefully, that does the trick. Also, I thought the metal brackets that go across the legs of the umbrella base and fit into these pieces would be way more secure than they actually are. They literally just lay across the legs and very loosely sit in the holes on these pieces. If you barely tap them with your foot, it knocks them out of place. I just assumed that they would fit tight across the legs to help keep everything held together, in place, nice and tight...no such luck.
