Initially, the stand worked very well. After a few months the stem loosened up and required constant tightening. Now the stem can't be tightened any more and the umbrella is being held at a 45 degree angle and swivels around. Basically, it is useless. Amazon support told me to contact the manufacturer but they were of little help. There is a 12 month warrantee and the stand is only 8 months old. Will need to get a solid metal stand that will be more substantial.

I chose this because I like a minimal look without some weird design. It does what it’s supposed to and has lasted me a long time. If it ever needs a touch up you can just spray paint it.

They Know what are they doing, super bad quality with only 90 days warranty, no changes, no refunds, no comments. I asked for the warranty of the product, the take long time to answer arguing just 3 months. If you want to save money don't buy this product. Pisa tower is a Joke compared with this umbrellas. there is no way to tight them, just if they loose are damage!!!

Love this base for our patio umbrella. Sturdy base and easy to assemble. Great value for the money as bases and umbrellas can be expensive. Our yard does have a considerable amount of wind so I do wish I went a little heavier. Shiny black finish makes the base looks sleek. My only critique is that it is not on wheels.

Base arrived packaged in styrofoam on one side only and had two major dents. Extending pole would not screw in straight as the screw is crooked. I have reached out to the manufacturer, so awaiting a response as of this writing. Will provide update.

I had originally bought a stand from Lowes, (but 40lbs) same concept (concrete base/etc.) it "cracked" on the first day of use. Found this one on Amazon for cheaper! And it's 50lb. So far so good, looks well made and nice that it has a cover on the bottom so the concrete powder doesn't get everywhere. ALSO, I was a little hesitant to buy this because it looks super duper glossy-gloss black in the pictures, however IRL, it's just a regular black, not glossy looking. That was a nice surprise. Def recommend, price is great for the quality and weight!

This base lasted less than a year before the rod portion broke and loosened completely, making the product unusable in any wind.
