Works as it should. It was easy to install and kept my pipes from freezing. I also used to wrap around my 5-gallon rabbit waterer and it kept it from freezing. So win-win. I would buy it again.

Picked this heat tape up with the intention of using it to keep some plants warm over the winter. Instead I woke up one morning to the furnace stopped and the house cold. Turns out the drain line for the furnace condensate line had frozen just outside the house and and triggered the alarm to cut the furnace. I wrapped heat tape around the line relatively loosely and covered with a towel and within 30 minutes were were back in business. I'm going to figure out a more permanent setup whenever it warms up enough. This thing worked great and the digital display was easy to read even outdoors. Good deal overall and a solid product.

The weather is just now getting cold in Houston and I have not had any reason to use this yet. However, I feel as though that will change soon. I am very excited to use this. It appears to be high quality and I’m have high hopes for it.

I’ve been a victim of the dreaded frozen pipe. It’s like a horror movie, I tell you. You wake up one morning, ready to start your day, and BAM! No water. Just a frozen, icy nightmare. It’s like a cruel joke, especially when it’s freezing outside and you’re stuck with a cold shower.But then I discovered this little red wire of magic – the Softer Pipe Heat Cable. It’s like having a tiny personal heater for your pipes. The best part? It’s self-regulating, which means it knows when to kick in without me babysitting it. Perfect, because I have enough things to babysit already (like my plants and occasional DIY projects gone wrong).The thermostat is amazing. We tested it for accuracy and temperature. Very well built.I installed it myself, and it was easy. Now, I can trust my pipes are safe and warm, even when the temperature drops below freezing. And the fact that it’s well-priced is just the cherry on top.I highly recommend this little lifesaver. It’s awesome.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)Winter, beware! This Softer Pipe Heat Cable is my new secret weapon for keeping those pesky pipes from freezing over. At 9 feet, it’s just right for wrapping around my metal and plastic home pipes, and the red color gives it that “don’t mess with me” look. The replaceable digital display thermostat is pretty nifty too—I feel like a pipe wizard adjusting temperatures and keeping everything in line.It’s self-regulating, which means it knows when to kick in without me babysitting it. Perfect, because I have enough things to babysit already (like my plants and occasional DIY projects gone wrong). The fact that it’s well-priced at $32 is just the cherry on top.I knocked off one star only because, well, the digital display is a bit on the smaller side, and squinting in the cold isn’t my idea of fun. But hey, it keeps my pipes safe and warm, and that’s what really matters!
