I was unsure about this product but the pool has been crystal clear so far this summer. Very easy to install. First time using this product will see what they look like when I dismantle the filter to store for the winter. Only concern the pressure has not changed. I backwash and there is nothing in the sight glass. Will find out again when I take apart to store for the winter. I do use a skimmer sock on the skimmer which does a great job of filtering out small debris before the filter. Purchased them ftom Amazon. So far a great product to replace my sand.

Bought this product in July of 2022 and it worked great for a summer season. Went to open my pool this spring and could not get it clear. I took the filter apart (Hayward 166t) and found the filter balls were clogging the return portion of the multi-valve. When I emptied the tank and took out the laterals, I noticed they were clogged up too. The filter balls were fraying and blocking up essential parts of the filter. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend these to anyone else to buy.

Changing my view.These are more expensive, but they are actually the best.Not the filtering - that is as good as the competition, but these wash better when it comes time to clean them, where the CBL type just won't give up the solids as well as they need to, even on a hot long cycle, heavy soil wash.Filterballs work as well after the third wash, as they do when they are new.Hence, for the price, go for these, as we use these in a professional environment and will, on a value for money basis, continue to do so.

Read many reviews of lots of people liking these. Since it was time for me to replace my sand, I went ahead & purchased 3 bags of these. Had these in my filter for 3 wks almost. Pool was cloudy & would not clear up even after using 5 doses of clarifier. Every time I would back wash with the filter balls, my water would be clear every time but should be dirty as my pool was very cloudy. They were not filtering out any of the particles. I decided to look in my filter & check what the inside looked like since I was not getting good results. There was soupy green water in the bottom half of my filter. Took the filter balls out, replaced with sand again & now my pool is clear finally. I will not try this again..

I was so tired of my sand filter. I replaced all the parts, added new sand, and my pool still wouldn’t get cleaned. All last summer it looked cloudy and I kept finding sand at the bottom of pool. I found these on Amazon and they actually cost less than the sand. Replaced all of it and in 1 week I could see the bottom of my pool. Truly amazing!! I can’t say enough great things. I haven’t opened my filter yet to see how dirty the balls are, and I’m fine with having to wash them if it means my pool stays clean. If you are tired of dealing with sand, switch to these.

I got these 2 months ago when we upgraded to an all-in-one Intex sand filter/pump/Salt cell. So far they're working great, and the real proof is the overall results: our pool water stays clean, clear, and easy to manage.I got an over-sized filter unit for our pool, so under normal use, it only runs about 4 hours per day. The pressure gauge has stayed constant at about 5-6 psi, and when I did my first monthy back-flush, it took less than 20 seconds for the water to run clear.And I LOVE the salt water system! After I initially got the chemistry balanced, I have only had to add muriatic acid twice, and small amounts of stabilizer as needed.

These filter balls are amazing!!! After doing some quick research about using filter balls in place of sand, I purchased some filter balls on Amazon and in less than a month my pool was constantly cloudy noatter what I tried. I hadn't researched enough to realize there was am EXTREME difference between these balls and the off brand I had purchased. When I dumped the off brand balls from my filter tank I found they had basically disenegrated into much and we're stuck in and on everything. I had to take the entire filter housing apart and clean it. My filter is rated for120lbs of sand and I purchased and used all of 3 bags of these mini balls. MUCH better. My water was never this clear using sand. Now I waste a lot less of my time on pool maintenance and more getting to just enjoy it.
