Excellent for your fiddle leaf fig tree BUT I wish the reading were a bit bigger. Very small & difficult to read because of 3 readings.

I bought this in order to evaluate when to water my fiddle leaf fig, which is a 7-ft tall well-established plant. In the past, I have watered it regularly every 8 days, but this resulted in spots in the middle of new leaves and malformed leaves, which is a symptom of overwatering. So I bought this meter in order to better match its needs. When it reaches the lower end of "moist" and starts to dip into "dry", I water my tree. I have now noticed my tree's water needs change very irregularly depending upon how many new leaves and branches it is trying to grow at once. So this water meter has been great in order to make sure that it only gets the water it needs and not too much.So far, this has led to very strong growth and very few spots on the leaves from overwatering, which was something that I was having trouble with before.I don't think the light sensor works that well, as it says that it is good light in really bright direct sun, which I know fiddle leaf figs dislike. The ph sensor works, but I haven't had any difficulty with ph, so it's hard for me to say whether it would be accurate in diagnosing a problem with my fiddle leaf.4/5 stars: it does what I needed it to do and helped me regulate my watering to match the irregular needs of my fiddle leaf. I'm not sure that it would help diagnose a light or ph problem, but for me that's not an issue.

Does not look at all like the image advertised. Intended to gift this to someone obsessed with fiddle leaf figs. Should I have known the product was going to be generic, I wouldn’t have purchased. Extremely disappointing.

Hi has three leaves on this plant and 100 gnats. I started to use this meter and I change the dirt to Fiddleleaf dirt here on Amazon and now do not have problems in my roots with proper drainage and monitoring of water. It also keeps track of the acid and alkaline. Today I added water with a little vinegar to raise it up from alkaline to in the direction of acid in the soil. Bottom line the plan is doing great.

Takes the guess work out of caring for my plant. I’m so glad I found this!

On paper seemed to be perfect for my needs, but clearly they need to go back to the drawing board. Moisture readings appear to be relatively on target as put up against my old but tried & true Dr Meter S10. But the light readings are ridiculously WAY off - that is to say the light meter absolutely doesn’t work. As you can see from the attached pics, I have an insanely bright room in which all my plants are thriving nicely. Yet the meter will not budge beyond the Dark reading. I can’t verify the pH readings. And while I’d like to think that the stagnant “Alkaline” reading on every plant I have is a good thing (I use bottled distilled water for all my indoor plants tho I have no idea if that affects pH level or not), how can I trust it in view of the obvious Light meter defect? Overall would not recommend this meter and will be returning it for a refund and buying the updated version of the Dr Meter S10.
