This is great for the value, works well. Battery is flawless, sensitive to water level, easy to use, doesn’t have temperature gauge but easy to read, the brightness of the gauge is nice. Recommended

This works great for what I need. It accurately checks the moisture levels of the soil and gives me peace of mind when watering my plants. It’s nice that it does not require batteries so I can always rely on it. Definitely a great product for the price!

I LOVE this moisture meter and it has no doubt saved the life of my houseplants. I love plants but they never lasted long in my houseProbably death by overwatering them. Often the soil feels dry on top but you can’t tell what’s going on down by the roots. With this WONDERFUL moisture meter I now know when my plants need watering & I haven’t killed a plant since, from overwatering. It is the best, and I would never be without one again. A great purchase.

This moisture meter has been a game-changer for my houseplants! It's so simple to use, yet it provides invaluable information about the soil's moisture level. No more guessing or overwatering – I just stick the probe in the soil and get an instant reading.Since I started using this meter, my plants have been thriving. They look healthier, their leaves are more vibrant, and I've even had a few surprise blooms. I used to struggle with overwatering, but this meter has taken all the guesswork out of it.The meter itself is lightweight and easy to handle. The probe is long enough to reach deep into the soil, and the display is clear and easy to read. It's also incredibly helpful for identifying underwatered plants. Sometimes a plant might look droopy, and I'd assume it needs more water, but the meter often reveals the soil is already quite moist. If you're serious about keeping your houseplants happy and healthy, this moisture meter is an essential tool. It's affordable, easy to use, and takes all the guesswork out of watering.

These moisture meters are useless. They are not actually measuring moisture, they measure electrical currents. Different potting mediums will conduct different levels of electricity, even if they hold the exact same amount of moisture. Soil with fertilizer will read as wetter than soil without. Clay and soil will measure as wetter than silt and sand. You can have a bone dry plant, but it might read as wet if you have coconut coir in your potting mix, which means you'll underwater and kill your plant. This happened to me with my ferns, and caused me to look into how these things actually work. Succulent soil has more airflow, which will give you a low moisture reading, even if you've just given it a deep watering. Mine came up as dry, but the Terra Cotta pot was still damp, and the potting mix was fully saturated. I could've drown my plant! This thing is beyond useless in porous media. If you've just repotted a plant, the soil won't be as compacted as a plant that's been in the same soil for awhile, and therefore will read as more dry than it actually is. As the tip of the meter erodes, which it will, it will also read much differently than when it was new. On top of all that, the number values for watering that they include are way off. Hardly any of them are correct, so if you follow what the chart says, and the meter's reading, you will kill your plants. Use your finger! If you still can't tell, which is something I struggle with, you can stick a wooden skewer in the dirt and leave it for a few minutes, and then take it out to see how wet it is, and how far down in the soil the moisture is. I still struggle to know for sure when to water and how much to give them, but my guesses are still more accurate than these meters... And it's not just this one, it's literally all of them. Don't waste your money and kill your plants! I learned the hard way!

I got this to help prevent root rot in my plants. I wish the probe was skinnier. I have a hard time getting it in my plants without hitting roots. Also, if you use a chunky soil, this is not going to give you accurate results because there's a lot of air in the chunky mixes. Be sure to check multiple different spots in your plants since the middle of the pot is obviously going to be wetter than the outer edges. But like I said.. it is hard to get this thing through one spot, let alone a few different spots. Overall, it does work with the proper plants/soil. I went back to the finger test. 🤷🏼♀️
