We use This oil on our utilitarian salad bowls and other items. It is pure and filtered walnut oil, and it is very high in linoleic acid and heat treated to make it oxidize faster. This combination makes the oil unique.
It penetrates deeply into the wood, and then hardens, leaving an excellent utility finish that will not evaporate like mineral oil finishes. This results in a very nice satin food-safe finish.
