Itโs glossy and brings out color of everything. But this is not for all paintings. Satin is good for many others.

For decades I've used another brand of varnish and decided to try this one! I am now a fan! The top is EASY to remove and application on my larger pieces went smoothly with excellent results!

This is a superb canvas ๐จ art protector. It not only protects your canvas from cracking, but it prevents an ignorant person's finger prints from permanent damage. ๐๐๐ปLastly, your art has a brilliant shine!

I tried other branded products for varnishing my oil and acrylic paintings and was still hoping for better options. After reading many reviews from professional artists, I bought a small bottle of this to try it out and my search for better varnish stops here. It's smooth, not sticky, easy to apply, easy clean up, blends so beautifully! Hands down the best varnish I've ever used !

No idea why people are reviewing this unless you've been using the product for at least 5 years and can verify the survivability of your painting. The real test is the test of time and it can take years before a an oil painting oxidizes enough to yellow under normal conditions (which should be everyone's main concern). And lets not confuse yellowing from oxidization and the yellowing from cigarette smoke. If your a smoker then varnish and frame your paintings behind glass as it will only take a year before your painting starts to develop a nasty, sticky, yellow film. Gambin makes extraordinary products that are verified (by professional artists) to hold up over the test of time. I've seen hundreds of artists trying to sell their paintings but I have never seen any of them advertise that they have varnished them. And that's unfortunate because varnishing your painting is a selling point and will get you plenty of extra dollars. A painting isn't complete until it's varnished. So be very weary of buying paintings on-line. On an 18x24 canvas I tack-on an extra $50 just for the varnishing and when you charge $250-$500 for a painting then your making a "Happy Buck".
