I've been using boiled linseed oil for various woodworking projects, and this product truly stands out. The rich amber hue enhances the natural grain of the wood, adding warmth and depth without overpowering the original tones. The clarity is exceptional—no cloudiness or residue, just a smooth, even application that brings out the best in the material. It penetrates deeply, providing a durable and protective finish while maintaining a natural look. Whether for refinishing furniture or protecting outdoor wood, this oil delivers excellent results every time. Highly recommend!

This oil works great on an axe hilt. Just sand the varnish and let a couple coats sink in

This is a great oil finish for my hand plane restorations and for many projects! BLO is great because it's almost foolproof, doesn't need sanding between coats, accepts many recoats, and enhances most wood's colors. For hand planes, it helps restore the condition of dried out, ugly wood, so when I scrape off the hard shell factory coatings, BLO goes on. It has a lighter look, which I really like. It dries pretty quickly, thanks to included drying chemicals, so you do need to wear gloves, but raw BLO is hard to find and takes much longer to dry, so that's an acceptable solution for me.Of course, the downside is that you must be careful disposing the rag. To prevent a fire, you must either lay them out flat to dry (concrete or other fireproof material) or keep them from absorbing oxygen (fireproof/sealing rag can, submerging in water, or tightly confined in an airtight container). That's really not much different from keeping your solvents safe from combustion.Overall, I really love this stuff. Just be sure to keep the cap and top free of BLO when you reseal it or you'll have a devil of a time getting it back off after the BLO dries.

It works very well on firearm wood stock finishes to bring it back to life.

Agree with the other reviews that the oil is good and applies really well. I used it for outdoor eucalyptus rocking chairs and it didn't discolor or have any adverse qualities. Seems to be protecting the wood fine after 3 months.I will say that, dang, that lid can be hard to open. If you don't happen to live with Clark Kent you may need a pair of vise-grips to get the container opened.
