Freud's precision ground carbide bits have a grain size smaller than other grades, and titanium is added making them impervious to chemical attack. Promoting safer woodworking is the reason Freud made a commitment to develop anti-kickback router bits. Bits are computer balanced to insure vibration-free operation at speeds that are a safe margin above the typical 22,000 RPMs of most routers. Freud's philosophy is woodworkers should expect safety, not pay for it. Over all diameter 7/8-inch, radius 1/4-inch, shank diameter 1/4-inch.

The router bit came in a regular Freud case and looks to be in good working order. I will try it this weekend and then update my review.

This is a typical Freud product… high quality construction, accurate grind of the cutter, long lasting sharpness, and well balanced bit. I will replace it with another Freud bit if it ever wears out.

Freud tools are very nice and pretty expensive. I paid $6.22? For a bit I would guess sells for around $40 or more. Couldn't resist adding another Freud tool.

It is impossible to estimate its durability but, Freud has a good reputation. It cuts well.

I bought this because I am working with red oak and needed a good router bit that wouldn’t burn the wood. This worked very well. It handled the red oak without a burn or tearout

I have been stocking up on router bits lately and I am done buying cheap bits, they just don't hold up and cut as nice as a Freud.Bought this bit because I felt like I was paying to much at HD, at $1.10 a foot for medium size cove, just didn't seem right. I did the math and buying clear pine 1x4's I could make my own cove molding for less than half the price HD is charging.As you can see from the pictures, it looks just as good as the store bought. The only fuzz on them was from my table saw. The router bit made perfect cuts. I did make 2 passes so I would put too much stress on the bit. But 2 passes on almost 100ft of mounding and the last cut was just as nice as the first. Sure this one is going to last a long time.Cheaper bits just don't cut as nice and last as long as Freud. Least the ones I've tried.This bit has paid for itself already. Glad I bought it, would buy again with out hesitation.

Nice bit. Needed some 3/4 cherry cove for cabinets and it worked fine. I had to hand feed into my router but it did a great job. No burn and very little chatter although I did do three passes. Featherboards are a must. You have to go slow and steady because it will splinter the piece if you try to take to much or run it through too fast, but it will do a really nice job if your patient. Freud makes great bits.
