Whiteside Machine Company was founded in 1970 as a general purpose machine shop in the basement of Bill & Bobbie Whiteside's home. Located in Western North Carolina near the furniture manufacturing town of Hickory, the company was often involved in making repairs or special parts for the furniture and woodworking field. I’m a custom cabinet builder and I used this bit to cut grooves into mdf to give a paneled look to these two projects.Worked great, I’d highly recommend!

It may sound silly, but with the growing collection of bits, it sure is nice to have the Whiteside bits labeled so clearly. If bits end up in a drawer or dish with others, it's a PIA to figure out which ones are which all over again. Add to that the fact that some bits from other mfr's - even those with the same specs - might have other recommendations for speeds and feeds, it's easy to get them mixed up. Having the Mfr name, description and Part# is SUPER helpful. Oh, and the bit is a beast!

I bought this to replace the one I had been using. It was part of a cheap set. I use it on my Genmitsu PROVer XL 4030 CNC machine. It cuts beautifully at 24,000 rpm. This brand and mode show up in my Carveco software's tool database, which is great! I highly recommend it.

Really liking these whiteside bits. Using them for a CNC machine. This bit I really like because it's dynamically balanced and it cuts like butter. At various depths (obviously monitoring depth of cut) and contact points, it rocks. I personally haven't had issues with inaccuracy whatsoever which unfortunately can be a reality when getting bits online. Solid product. Solid brand.
