This is the second time I’ve ordered this exact kit. The first time it came with the lid the second time it did not. If you were using this strictly for a fermenter and not to store anything in, it’s perfect if you do want to store mead or anything for long-term, you can always purchase a cork very good value for money

My only complaint is that the airlock is made of a cheap plastic, however it does its job perfectly. The stopper is the perfect size, and the carboy is great quality.

Although I do not drink, I had the urger to make a batch of mead. After reading up I discovered this something which is required. Again, I don't drink, but family and friends said the mead I made was very good. So, I would highly recommend this product!

I am absolutely thrilled with this gallon-size glass wine fermenter! As avid home winemakers, we’ve tried several fermenters over the years, but this one stands out as the best. The design is incredibly functional, and it works perfectly for all our homemade wine projects.The fermenter is easy to use, and I especially appreciate how straightforward it is to clean. It’s made of durable material, and the fact that you can see what's going on inside is a huge bonus—it makes monitoring the fermentation process so much easier. The rubber stopper and twin bubble airlock system work flawlessly, ensuring that the process is smooth and effective. It provides the perfect environment for fermentation, keeping everything sealed while allowing gases to escape without letting anything unwanted in.Currently, we’re using it to make apple jack wine, and it’s been fantastic. While I can’t share a picture of it in use at the moment here is a picture of it empty, I can say that this fermenter has definitely improved the overall experience. The size is excellent—large enough to make a good batch of wine, but not so bulky that it’s hard to manage.For anyone who enjoys making wine at home, this fermenter is a must-have. It’s reliable, easy to use, and well worth the price. If you’re looking for a high-quality fermenter that will do the job better than others, this one is definitely worth considering!

These arrived very securely packaged. This morning, I began my first brew with them. I'm going to buy a few more. Let's toast beer! The root of all issues in life as well as their resolution. This product is excellent and reasonably priced. My initial impression of the jug's quality was favorable.If you actually take the time to seat the stopper, it fits perfectly. Of course, for it to seal up, the interior of the jug opening and stopper must be dry. It goes without saying that this was a user error and not the seller's. Take the initiative to construct a plug lock. I'm buying 2 more since I'm so impressed.I used this kit to make some apple wine, and it turned out great. The gas lock operates as intended, and the glass is strong. Would advise anyone who wants.

Although my first one came smashed in the box, that's not really amazons fault, and they promptly replaced it without me even needing to ship back the broken glass in the box. Now that I got the product unbroken or blemished in anyway I can properly review it.This is a great glass carboy! its a bit larger then 1gal, but that's ok as it gives you a bit of room for measuring errors. The rubber stopper and bubble lock fit snugly and have not moved in the first 3 days of fermentation now, and im going to assume that its just not going to move at all now.The glass is of medium thickness, and built sturdy. And because its glass, its going to be far easier to clean then a plastic one, and can be sanitized easily with bleach and water. (just make sure to triple rinse all the bleach out)For the price and quality this is going to be my "Go To" for 1gal carboys for racking my Melomels.
