I ordered 4 units. Each came inside its own box and all 4 boxes were shipped inside a larger box. The buckets do not have a logo but feel high quality. The lids seal well and each had its own grommet taped inside each lid. I used a rubber mallet to secure the lid to the bucket and a plastic lid tool to remove the lid after fermentation. The airlocks are not included. I would purchase these again and recommend them. They are a good buy for$16 dollars.

Received bucket and it was just wrapped in plastic. Air lock was just inside and not secured and was broken (in picture). I had another air lock to use. Problem is that it never started to bubble within 3 days of firmenting. I had to place spring clamps to help hold lid down to get a good seal. I also swapped lids out to make sure it wasn’t the lid. I believe it’s the bucket itself that is defective. Now after almost a week of opening it to keep the wine mixed it’s not sealing again.

Delivered wrapped in plastic. The air lock inside was not secured properly and was broken, but overall lid seals properly, and the air lock hole also has a good seal. Good quality build and also has a carrying handle.

I bought two. Lid seals well on one and leaks on the other. The buckets don't feel cheap but you never know what you will get in the lids. I probably would buy a different product next time.

I wish this fermentor had a 1 gallon mark for measuring. However it still works for making wine.

Es practica, funcional, cierra perfectamente, trae un par de airloks y empaque correspondiente.Llegó muy bien. Sólo le faltaría que le agregaran a la compra una llave para el drene y algunas indicaciones de medición y estaría al 1,000 %.

Incredibly disappointing and hard to believe that it's anything but shady, the pail and lid are not FastRack.There's no brand marking as displayed; the pail is generic Letica, and the lid is Berry. Also, the lid is one-time use with a rip-away seal.All appears food safe, but not for $32 and so obviously isn't what was advertised.

The tool works and is a good quality for the price. However, I noticed that when trying to use the bucket to make hot sauce the air lock doesn't move up/down as it does with other methods like a mason jar. That being said, the pepper mash I'm using with a 3% salt so far have been doing just as well as they do in glass mason jars. The lids come with the un-open seal in place, but once you use the bucket once that's no more. The lid fits on just as nicely without it as with it, however, it is by no means air tight. So if you need a tighter seal maybe pick up some new gaskets at Ace Hardware and you should be all set. No idea if they're stain or smell resistant, but I'm guessing no based on the price and the feel of the plastic. So I wouldn't share buckets between types of brews. (i.e. wine buckets for wine, beer for beer, etc.) They also stack pretty well for not in use storage.

The product works as advertised, its just a little awkward to use as in order to get a good seal you have to rip a tab around the edge. The instructions are written in an embossed text on the lid, and the tab itself needs to be cut in order to pull it off, but otherwise it works fine and seals fine.HOWEVER it was missing the rubber grommet required to make an airtight seal with a valve. This is kind of an issue. Arguably unusable without it. Luckily I had a rubber funnel of all things that fit perfectly in the hole, and I was able to push my valve in with that.

When I initially found this bucket, I was dissuaded from purchasing it by all of the comments about the lid not sealing. However, I wanted to start a mead right away and decided to buy this one since it was available with Prime shipping. I thought that I could always do a temporary fix and transfer the mead to a different container if I happened to get a better one. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this will not be necessary.I noticed that the logo present in some of the pictures is not on the bucket. This leads me to believe that the bucket was changed at some point or this seller started getting buckets from a different manufacturer. I can confirm that this new bucket is super airtight. After I attached the lid and the airlock, pressing on the lid would cause the airlock to bubble. This was an immediate indicator that the bucket was sealed and I would have no problem with leaks or the fermentation. I am writing this the morning after starting my mead and the airlock is still bubbling away.The only "bad" thing I would say about this product is that the lid is extremely tight. This is great in the long run, but I did struggle a bit to put the lid on. I have not made an attempt to remove the lid yet, though I can only imagine the effort that it will require. In my opinion, a difficult lid is much more desirable than a bucket that is leaky or not airtight. So this product has really managed to turn around my opinion on it. I highly recommend it to anyone doing 1-gallon batches of mead or other fruit alcohol. Since I'm basing this review on a short experience with it, I'll be sure to post updates if anything changes.
