CT lid fits well and does what it is supposed to do.*** IMPORTANT ***There are 2 main type of jar lid threads: CT (continuous thread) and LUG. Most products in jars at your Grocery store are of the Lug type and if your jar has "broken" threads it will not work with this lid. Most gallon size jars sold on Amazon "empty" for fermentation, etc. are of the CT type and will fit this lid just fine. Fermentaholics is not the only seller of CT glass jars and blasting them in silly reviews is unfair (looking at you @Coast Mountain Hiker and @Marc J West).

It was the right diameter for my jars, but still did not fit those commercial gallon jars you get at the store. I waited too long to send them back.

I there is an issue with this gadget, it won't fit the mouth of the one gallonjar that I bought together with this lid. The information of the manufacturerthat it will fit any 1 gallon jar is misleading. Now I cannot use it for fermenting.Will look for a 1 gal jar that will fit it in. Unhappy with it.

Although it did work, I had to be very careful as the lid didn't fit the gallon jar tightly and would just pull off. If you're getting them for existing jars, get some painters tape too.5 stars because it still works right though.
