This is my second one. The one I bought last year is still working great but tank heaters tend to fail during the worst blizzard of the year so I bought a spare.

Cord ( plastic) comes out on bottom beside heating elements. As it floats, it is hard to keep cord from touching elements and melting. Poor design and seems dangerous. It did seem to give off a lot of heat when working

I disliked the item because it was faulty It never worked and Amazon won't refund my money
