Perfect for a rainy day, or a global catastrophy. I bought these as it was on a list for Apocalyspse ending bug out bag catastophies. I don't anticipate that, but nice to have, just in case I have to make a cross country trip with limited resources. But, if I am camping, they will make a perfect nutritional substitute. Packed for longevity. Great job.

Great emergency food. It showed up damaged but they made it right.

Tastes pretty good. Nicely packaged for camping and placing individually in water tight bags. Don’t like the tin they came in. Seemed unnecessary.

The shelf life claims to be twenty five years, which is really good. They do taste pretty good. Would recommend eating them with some water or a glass of milk, if you have it. My kids stole almost all of them and ate them. So apparently they do taste good and would be a good thing to have on hand for survival food for kids. And I can say that for a fact, because they love them. The nutrition value seems to be okay. I don't know how well it would fill you up, but it'll keep you alive.

Bought these to stash in the car for a "just in case" situation. They were the most cost effective option I could find for this kind of thing. Opened a pack and tried one bar just so I knew what they tasted like, and genuinely enjoyed eating it. It's like shortbread, but a little less sweet. Definitely felt very satiating to eat, I'm seeing how I go with just one bar for lunch and some toast for breakfast. So far still feeling well fed, and I get hungry pretty easily. The tin was a little dented when I got it, lid doesn't hold on too well because of it, but for me that doesn't knock any stars off. I got these because they were cheap and effective, and the packaging that matters is inside the tin, which is all intact. I'll either try to bend the tin back into shape, or just put a little masking tape on it if I'm lazy.I meant to keep these for emergencies, but honestly considering buying these regularly for a snack. If you get them at one of the 20% off sales they come to $1.35 a bar by my math. $1.70 at full price.Anyway, yeah, can happily recommend these.

Bought these for a couple of reasons:-1. ‘just in case’ (car, home, purse, work, emergency)2. For taking on long hikes with our dogs - these are super small & light, meaning more room for food & water for our dogs & emergency first aid etc. (=longer hikes)Flavour: I chose original. The flavour is very inoffensive, slightly sweet, and if you’re a Brit, think ‘digestive biscuits’Texture: it’s initially quite hard as you bite into it but the texture then immediately changes and hydrates in the mouth very well. It’s a little bit like shortbread when chewing it, so yes you’ll want something to wash it down but actually you technically don’t ‘need’ to drink anything with itEnergy: I’ve only eaten one bar to taste it and test energy efficiency, an hour before I did a 60-min HIIT workout. Incredibly, this gave me more energy than my pre-workout drink.Digestion: I had expected something like this to give me a horrible stomach upset as the stupidest thing sets me off, but amazingly I had absolutely no problems - no bloating, no stomach ache, nothing.Packaging: there are 4 bars inside each vacuum foil pack that are then individually wrapped too. Each portion (2 bars) is 230 Cal so you know exactly the calories you’re consuming.Whatever you’re considering these for, they do the job for hunger, energy, flavour and storage (car, purse, etc.) as they’re compact and light

I’ve ordered two of these and the tin is very flimsy. When my most recent one arrived, the bars had come loose from the tin and the vacuum seal was broken on some of them (meaning they won’t have a 20 year shelf life - they’re already open). Because this is food, Amazon won’t do a return or replacement for it - there’s just no option at all. Basically it’s a flimsy tin and the item arrived damaged and Amazon doesn’t care. For buying emergency supplies, I recommend going with a local seller who will stand behind their product - you probably don’t need these in 2 days or anything. Take the time to shop around and get a product that won’t be damaged and a waste of money.

I haven't tried any of the food yet, but it is vacuum sealed and packaged well. I have no doubt that the food will hold up over time based on the quality of the packaging. The metal ammo can it comes in is very impressive. I have a different storage system for our emergency supplies, so I won't be using the can to hold the emergency ration bars; however, this can is sturdy and I'm sure I'll find some other use for it.

After reading a lot of the reviews for this product, I was a little hesitant to purchase it fearing that the vacuum seals would be leaking. I also read that it didn't taste bad and a lot of folks were pleased.I went ahead and ordered it. It arrived faster than I expected (the same day). I opened the lid and looked at the individual packages and confirmed that there were no leakers. The tin was undamaged and the product looked to be in perfect condition. The expiration date was 2044, so I can rest assured I didn't get last years product.I haven't opened any of the packages yet to taste them, but we have a cub scout campout this weekend and will try one of the packages. There are 6 packages, each has 4 individually wrapped bars. The Calorie density looks to be great.I recommend this product for fast delivery, product integrity and undamaged shipping.
