Its not good for 5 years if you get one like I did that was made in 11/2022 and it was received on 9/23/2024 Either it is Amazon or the Manufacturers fault but that is what I was shipped of course the item is non returnable so buyer beware.

I highly recommend anyone buying to not try and eat these like a granola bar, you'll lose a lot. Instead, get a bowl or cup, grind it into a powder then add a bit of water to make it like oatmeal or porridge. easier to eat and it brings out the coconut.

Ordered in 7/22, packaging I received was manufactured in 7/21 so already a year old. The bar doesn't taste too bad, like a graham cracker. It is however difficult to get the bar out of the plastic without the bar crumbling. I would be worried in a survival situation about the bars falling apart during travel and being difficult to actually use in a survival situation.3 stars for taste but not functional.

These are emergency rations, but they actually don't taste bad at all. They compare favorably to most of the snack bars you buy. I wish they had a little more protein in them, but they're not for long-term use, and I knew the nutritional profile when I bought them. They are a little pricey, but for emergency rations, They'ren pretty darn good.

Simple ingredients. Pack contains several ration bars each sealed in plastic. Be aware these rations powder, when the wrap on a single portion is opened it is like a very very crumbly cracker/cookie. Taste is similar to graham cracker crumbs. For me, it was a good value for an experiment to try ration bars.
