I bought one of these to bring down the hardness of my water from an acid neutralizer I recently started using. My plumber recommended this brand as a solid unit that should last at least 10 years, so I went ahead and purchased it for him to install. The install went smoothly, and the unit works great!I didn't have salt on hand, so my plumber walked me through the programming steps so I could do it myself later, and the process was very straightforward, and well documented. Hoping this unit lasts me a good long time!

We started out with hard water clogging up our dishwasher and all the faucets. Now thanks to this softener, we have better water flow, cleaner dishes and nice soapy showers. Install was easy and straight forward. And for a fraction of the price you would pay. Excellent product!

I had a Kenmore survey that went out, replaced it with this. I'm a jack of all trades, master of none, and this felt pretty easy. Took me about an hour to install the new lines, put this together, then set up. The manual that comes with it is set up kinda dummy proof, but its only going to get you in the ballpark, you'll need to know your water levels to get it dialed in. I have a friend who installs these and the settings he gave me were not too far off. The standard setup fills the tank much more than I'm used to seeing. Refill is on a timer and fill flow is pretty fast, so I had to adjust that down so that it's not filling too high. Our water is next level soft now, didn't realize how ineffective y last softener was until now. Also love how these are so easy to rebuild and replace instead of buying a whole new all in one system you get in retail stores. Can't sing the praises of this softener enough.

My family had a 40-year-old Culligan water softener that was still working but it exhausted the resin. I have put new resin in before but recommended to my family replacing it since parts haven't been made for that on in a decade maybe more. I was a Culligan service repairman for many years so when I started looking, I wanted a Flech control body which is very dependable, and 1-1/2 cubic foot unit with a meter. When I found this one it was highly recommended in the reviews and priced very well. When I ordered it, it comes with an adapter for 1" plumbing. I needed 3/4" so I place an extra order to buy the correct adapter. The company reached out to me and told me if I cancelled the extra order, they would remove the 1" and put in a 3/4" at no extra charge.When it arrived, it was very well packaged, it had the correct adapter. Installing it was easy. It was missing a fitting, I could have missed placed it, it appeared to be a standard 1/2" threaded fitting. I called the company AND A PERSON ANSWERED THE PHONE, I was shocked but very happy. She said they could overnight it but yes it was a standard fitting, so I just went to the hardware store and bought it.Programming was very easy, I had 1 question and again a person answered the phone, quickly answered the question. It has been in about a month, and everything is great. THANK YOU, THANK YOU

I paid a local plumber to install it for us, and it started out great. The water has a very slight salty taste and consumes about one 40lbs salt crystal bag every six weeks. After six months the unit stopped working and flashed "Err 0" when trying to run a regen cycle. After power cycling it started up okay before going back to "Err 0". I called the Fleck/Pentair customer service number in the warranty book and was told I need to order a new piston and valve spacer which are "wear items" not covered under warranty. UPDATE 6/28/22: Seller Aplus Water LLC were incredibly helpful, and sent a replacement valve at no cost. They sent a return shipping label for the failed valve so they can inspect with the manufacturer. They sent a link to an instructional video they had made, and with that I was able to replace the value in about an hour. It is once again working perfectly. Thank you Heather at APlus Water LLC for resolving this promptly and easily! We are again very happy with our purchase.

I wanted to preface first that I did not install this product myself. I had my buddy who’s a plumber do it due to him needing to do other work as well, but he said it was really easy to install.Long story short, the reason I got this was because of my HVAC and whole home humidifier going out in my house. Due to construction in my area and town not really testing the water, my water had doubled in hardness resulting in the home humidifier to clog up then shutting down my hvac. Getting this softener saved EVERYTHING!!! My plumber before installing told me that hard water can lead to equipment damage, hair loss, gunk in your sinks/showers and a lot of other issues. After installation I was told I wouldn’t see results for a few days, yet I immediately saw results within that day. The water didn’t smell anymore, my skin wasn’t as dry anymore after washing, and after a week or so, I stopped seeing all the gunk buildup.I highly recommend this product!!!
