It does well with the ones it came with. I purchased to use this spring post surgery to save my shoulder. The flaw is that while it's adjustable to accommodate up to a 4 inch ball, the ball won't stay, because the top part is too small for the curvature of anything larger than a tennis or baseball. Was hopeful and I'll probably try to modify it to make it work. It takes too much time and effort to make it work as is with a 3.8 inch softball to make it efficient.

I have torn rotator cuffs in both shoulders. My grand dogs were missing the far throws I use to do. Now they love going to the dog park again. The balls are very durable and a perfect size and soft enough to where they can catch them off a bounce.I highly recommend this product and it’s a great price.

Like the long length of ball thrower . Very well made . Balls are excellent for our 7 month old Rottie.

I was hoping to use this for my Aussie who loves playing fetch but the ball sticks and has a very sharp angle that is not very forgiving. I liked the longer handle and was hoping I would be able to launch it farther but the angle makes it difficult.

We used to buy only the Chuckit brand. But their launchers only use the specific size ball that launcher is made for. Add to that the fact our our lab has a powerful set of jaws and we had problems with her causing the balls that came with Chuckit to break in half.This adjustable launcher is fabulous!! The balls it comes with are a bit small, BUT they are well made and stand up to our lab crushing them as she carries them back to us. The fact you can adjust the holder means we don't have to spend so much time trying to find the exact ball that goes with the launcher. We grab whichever ball the lab wants and adjust the holder to fit it. And our grand-babies can adjust the length of the handle, making it easier for them to throw the ball for the labs..

Bought this and it broke within the first week. Returned it and they sent a replacement. It broke in the first week. Not a good design.
