Both of my small dogs have been obsessed with these toys each time we go to the park. I don’t use the throw mechanism, less to carry. I just hold it like a ninja star and toss it. It can easily go 50-100 yards just flicking it with my wrist in a full throw. My dogs don’t chew to destroy them, so the ones I bought have lasted a couple years now.

Just received today and let me tell you, I've never seen my 6 month old Chinese crested powder puff soooooo excited. He has played for hours today. I have osteoarthritis really bad and a shoulder with issues right now, and using this is Sooooo easy and fun and works on tile, grass, cement (good things we live in a culdesac. He was so excited he was jumping almost as high as I am (5'1"). We will have many, many hours of fun with this. Tip ... Hold the handle upside down to throw and release.

I love chuck it products but this one is a bust. It is hard to get the ring to stay in place. When it does, it always gets lauched directly to the groud. My dogs like the ring, but I would not buy this again.

My border collie loves her ring-o. Using tennis balls for years had started to file her teeth so we switched to this instead. She loves it

Fabulous throw tool and toy . Pup loves chasing it. Great value for the price. Not for chewing. EZ PICK UP SECRET: turn grip of tool handle so CHUCK IT title on grip is upside down, with inside of wrist facing down, insert 2 blue prong end of tool onto any blue spot on inner ring of toy, turn inside of wrist in and upward to scoop up ATTACHED ring. CUCK IT needs to add this information to their video. The pickup spot on video is toooo fast and with no instructions, no wonder a lot of customers got frustrated and gave poor reviews. I hope this information helps past, future customers and CHUCK IT . I love their THROW TOYS

My boy can spaniel loves this thing and I can say that it is a decent toy. The one time he snuck it in the house and was able to chew on it for 5 minutes. He destroyed it. It fades pretty quickly from its original bright orange color. The handle is extremely sturdy and works well. Overall, this toy is fun and works well when not left to their own devices. Rolls quickly but take some getting used to regarding the throw.

My Boston terrier LOVES to chase the chuck it ball and adores the chuck it float toy. We bought the ring as chuck is usually a good brand that stands up to dog play and it seemed like it would be easier for him to pick up and breathe when retrieving during the hot summer months. It fit the bill and he loves it. We play with this every day.The ring takes some getting used to when throwing it. And we could never just snap the handle over the ring like the chuck it ball. You have to pick it up and snap it back on which seems to be a bit of a design flaw. Regardless, he loved it so we use it and keep a towel handy to wipe off our hands when playing. My biggest complaint is that the ring is falling apart into two pieces after a month and a half of use. We don't let him chew or play with it unless we are throwing it and he retrieves it.I bought a replacement ring ($10), but if this one doesn't last then we are done with the ring. We've had the chuck ball for almost 3 yrs and have only replaced one ball (we accidentally launched the ball into weeds and couldn't find it).

My dog absolutely loves this toy. Unlike balls, the ring tends not to bounce too high, which means it's less likely to accidentally go into a neighbour's yard. If you turn your wrist a little before you throw it, you can even get it to roll in a bit of a curve, making for some interesting games of fetch. I was worried about wear and tear because in between retrieving and laying the ring back at my feet, my dog sometimes likes to use this as a chew toy. So far, you can barely tell he's been chewing on it. I've been using it daily for almost a month now and it's looking to be really durable. The only very very small issue is that if there's a bit of dried, caked, dirt on it, the ring tends to stick to the launcher. This usually only affects the first one or 2 throws because once it's wet with slobber (or water), it flies fine again :D

This is a clever new toy, and it looked really cool when I saw someone using one at a dog park. But, now that I've used one, it offers nothing much over the ball ChuckIt (which is great), and has many weaknesses vs. the ball ChuckIt . The weaknesses effect me, but might not be an issue for others. YMMVI use ChuckIt toys at dog parks. My local dog parks have tennis balls, ChuckIt balls, and other ChuckIt compatible balls laying around. I (and others in the community) collect used balls from tennis players to leave at the parks. With that preamble, here are the con's of "Chuckit! Ring Chaser Launcher Dog Toy" for me:* It only works with the ChuckIt ring. My dog loves to chase balls, etc., but she isnt very good at bringing them back. With a bunch of balls I can chuck one after another without having to retrieve them. With the ring, if she doesnt bring it back, I have to go get it. If we lose the ring, or another dog takes it and runs away with it, well, that's that.* It rolls and bounces nicely, but so do tennis balls. Other than the initial novelty, my dog didnt find the ring any more exciting that a ball (of course, she is bonkers about chasing virtually anything, so, since a ball is a 10, a ring, or any other new type of thing, is at best also going to be a 10.)* I find it much easier to pick up balls with the ball ChuckIt than it is to pick up the ring with the ring ChuckIt.* The ball ChuckIt I have is longer than the ring ChuckIt, making it easier to pick up balls without bending over as much as much as with rings.* With the ball ChuckIt I have a lot of choices as to how I throw the ball. High and far, hard at the nearby ground to get a big bounce, sideways for long rolling, bouncing (which is exactly what the ring does), and so on. I only found one way to throw the ring. No only does that make the ring less entertaining, it means that I am making exactly the same chucking motion over and over, which is harder on my shoulder. Also, I find it more challenging to throw the ring so that it rolls well.So yeah, this new ring toy is clever, but as far as I am concerned it has no advantages over the ball ChuckIt but has many disadvantages, as well as being an addition thing to buy and carry around.

My dog loves it as the ring hops and jumps along. Also, as she is always reluctant to give up any toy, it is much easier to take out of her mouth than a ball ! Recommended.

Started out being able to fling the disk far, but as it got wet it started falling out of the thrower too soon. So guess you’ll need a rag to keep wiping it off. I liked how it bounced and rolled after it landed too, so my dog could find it easier and added more fun for him. It seems tuff and well made. My dog loves chewing on his toys but not letting him lay and chew on this one, as I’m afraid it won’t work with the thrower.
