Construction is very impressive for such an inexpensive piece. Non-functional edges were a little sharp, but was easily remedied with some gentle filing for a couple of minutes. Accuracy claims to be +-.02mm, but it's more like +-.05 in practice. Still, it's plenty accurate for what it is.

Pretty good value for my needs. It has been on my list, but then found it on sale. Nice unit, stainless steel, solid plastic case, instructions. I like the ability to measure once and read out in metric mm/inch/fractional inch. Even comes with extra batteries. Pretty handy as many projects are printed in mm, while domestic wood is still in inches and/or fractions. If $40 or $50 prices are in the way, try this one out.

This thing is great it's a perfect size it has a wonderful weight to it it's fully metal and it does exactly what it's supposed to do what more could you want? Extremely easy to use it's made out of metal so obviously it's sturdy and from everything form of verification/calibration I have, it is accurate!! It's functionally a lifesaver lol just a few days before buying this I had bought another one at about half price that was all plastic and I really love that one it was also great but here's the difference and what makes this one worth twice the money even if it wasn't made out of stainless steel, it measures two places past the decimal point in millimeters!! That is A BIG DEAL or at least it is to me and make my own lock pics and turning tools as well as make alterations to "store bought" tools and it is an absolute must have at least if you want to rid yourself fear doubt and anxiety of removing too much material this is absolutely my favorite toy ever!! Can't recommend them enough even if your doing some "real" or serious jobs that require/demand precision. The box it's comes with is also pretty nice tho, I don't think the pieces that keep it closed will last long because the hing for them is made out of the flash from the molding process so it's so thin you can see through it. If you're not familiar with molding or the term, flash or flashing is the excess plastic that will squeeze out of the mold sometimes it's very thin and is usually just brushed off or removed by hand once the item is removed from the mold just about everyone has seen it before whether they realize it or not and it is a bit thicker than average flashing would be but still I don't imagine it lasting very long so unless I'm actually transporting it I don't snap them shut if it's just going to be laying where it's at and occasionally opened up used and then replaced I just leave it lying with the tabs unclasped to prevent unnecessary wear and tear hopefully extending their life. And if/when they do happen to break your average size rubber band is more than efficient to fix the issue. But even if this didn't come with a box at all I would still be thrilled and be leaving the same review also it comes as a small screwdriver which is Handy and a couple extra batteries. If you need precision measurements buy this thing!!

This review is for the 6" or 150mm size of these calipers.I would recommend this digital caliper if you need to measure inside, outside or depth up to 150mm.1. It comes on when you move it and does not seem to need to be zeroed.2. It comes with batteries in it and extras. I only use it occasionally, mostly to measure items I want to engrave so that I can accurately size traces or tool path limits.3. It is accurate to my ability to verify. I have some metric steel rulers that seem very accurate. When I extend the caliper to 150mm and compare it to the steel rule, it is right on the ruled mark.4. It handles well. The thumb roller that allows you to make fine adjustments handles well, as does the twist locks.Like most digital devices, you can set the caliper at a distance, zero it there, measure something else and it will give you a difference, in case you never learned to subtract. This requires that you close the calipers and zero them to be sure of accuracy. The fractional inch mode is of little use. It reads the fractions in 128ths, and cannot be instructed to round to, say, 32nds. I have little intuitive feel for, for example, what 57/128ths" is, except it is more than a quarter, less than a half. 11.78 mm or 0.448": either of those will give me a better feel for the measurement. Since 63/128" is close to 1/2" and it never seems that you hit that easy fraction when you measure, in my experience I'm going to find that the fractional inch mode is just confusing. It is just an extra button push to skip it.Compared to the quality/cost ratio, the fact that they do all the other stuff they say, well, these are still a 5 star buy for me. The only thing I might go for is bigger numbers or a connected app.The cheap blown plastic case has been snapped open and closed 100 times ans shows no sign of failure. There is no extra room in the case.

Not perfect but well worth the price for light/amateur use. As with most digital calipers, the problem is getting it to return to "000" when closed every time. I often have to re-zero when I close the jaws. This is not a reason to avoid buying - just something to be aware of. I've owned the hugely expensive Mitutuyo equivalent and even this had the same problem after some time. The battery cover secured with two M2 screws (not self tappers) instead of the flimsy sliding plastic lid on other models is a nice touch.

This is my first proper digital caliper, it felt solid in the hand as most steel do, it slides smoothly, it measures a accurately, these are the good parts. But is the maker expecting us to always wear a protective glove in order to use it? Cause if you don't, you'll get cuts and scratches by the sharp edges everywhere! I'm not talking about the pointy measuring corners, but all other edges, only the long slider parts are sand smoothly. I had to spent minutes to use sandpaper to protect myself. This show that a product may be good at performing its task, the user experience is what make it used frequently or just thrash one side. Also, the rolling wheel is so loose it sound like a bell when carrying around, no backlight.I do not recommend buying this, get something from brand name that treasure their reputation instead of some unknown that change its name when the rating gets bad.
