I ordered this unit and the $40 Stead & Fast unit to replace cheap, crummy ones I had at home. Since I expect many Amazon customers may also be comparing the two, I've included comparison comments as well to help others make pruchasing decisions. I use Mitutoyo and Brown and Sharpe at work. Both of these Amazon units seem have much nicer displays than any of those I have at work and of course those name brand units are far more expensive. Between this Kynup unit and the Stead & Fast one, this one is the nicest of the bunch with the largest and best looking display. This unit has the buttons on the bottom of the display housing which I prefer but that is just a preference. Both had metal display housings and battery trays which I would expect will be more durable than the typical plastic ones. The case with the Stead and Fast unit was tigher fitting and had rubber inserts/bumpers which should help protect the calipers better than the less conforming molded one this came with but if not carrying it around a bunch, either should be fine. The latches also feel more likely to last on the Stead and Fast unit. I don't have access to calibration standards anymore but but of these agreed withing .0005" with the two calibrated units I ahve at work. For home that's plenty good enough. Both were very repeatable. The work unit motion is a little smoother than either of these but these are fine and equal to each other. That aside, these appear to be far nicer than the expensive work units. Also both of these use lithium batteries compared to alakaline so would expect them to last longer.

I have used probably 8 different digital calipers in this price range and this is by far the best. The tension feels perfect. The placement of the function buttons makes it very easy to use with one hand without the assistance of the other hand (if right handed of course). It uses CR2032 coin batteries which most people likely already have in their battery drawer. I will eventually be replacing my other calipers with this one.

Rien à redire, ce pied à coulisse est parfait car son usinage est top. Après multiples essais, on constate que les mesures sont probantes : on obtient les mêmes mesures avec leurs 2 décimales, faites sur un même objet plusieurs fois de suite. Ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas avec des appareils à 5 sous !Livré avec son boîtier protecteur en plastique recyclé

It worked fine for a few months, but after it broke down one day (several months into the one year warranty period) I found it difficult to find anyone to report the problem to. There was no convenient website to go to for help and no number to call. None of the links on Amazon lead you to any helpful manufacturer information. I am trying to get Amazon to intervene for me because otherwise this is a useless caliper after just half a year of use.

These are robust, accurate, wonderful calipers... For the price you cannot beat them. They have a certain heft to them that I wasn't expecting. They measure a 20mm calibration block at 20.000mm.

I ordered this because I misplaced my cheap harbor freight caliper and took that as an excuse to get a nice one. This one was still pretty inexpensive but in an entirely different league of quality. It looks really nice, and measured some 22 gauge stainless steel as exactly 1/32 of an inch so I know it’s extremely accurate. My harbor freight caliper does not have the depth gauge, so this one has increased functionality and also comes in a case which should make it harder to misplace. The battery should last a long time, but this is also the best part. It comes with two extra batteries. This caliper is top notch.

I really wanted to love the Kynup Caliper with the big, bold display. Let's face it, every maker will get older and numbers smaller so that large display was a definite selling point. Too bad it isn't backlit. But my annoyance comes from the design.With that large display the buttons for power, zero, and scale are moved to the side instead of being on the front. Personally, my big meaty paws tend to hit those buttons while taking a measurement. So, I have to be careful. It's easy to 'zero' the caliper when moving the jaws. (I wish that at least the button was a hold for three seconds to zero type of function rather than instantaneous.)Nice they included extra batteries, screwdriver, and pick for opening the battery.Accuracy and repeatability seem to be good (agrees with my other tools). Tool has a nice 'heft' to it. Overall I pleased with it and expect to use it for quite some time.

Me ha sorprendido su calidad en el momento de sacárlo de la caja, completamente metálico, incluso la caja de la electrónica. No tiene menos precisión que otros que valen el triple, y su funcionamiento es realmente fino, y, espectacular visión de la medida, en la mayor pantalla que he visto jamás montada en un pie de rey de 150mm. Muy recomendable.

Je trouve très pratique d'avoir un pied à coulisse avec affichage numérique et en métal pour la partie de mesure. Celui-ci a tout bon. La précision est largement suffisante pour les mesures que je dois faire. Une petite remarque concernant les avis : je trouve que peu d'évaluateurs négatifs utilisent une façon correcte pour mesurer. Ici, avec la remise à zéro et la traduction des résultats de différentes façons (dont le mode fraction) on peut nettement voir le côté pratique de l'affichage numérique.En conclusion : c'est un bel objet, précis et solide. A recommander sans hésiter !

This is my first and only set of calipers, but I have to say I am very impressed with this tool. It feels well made and appears to be very accurate (as it should be). I like the 2032 size batteries they use (they included an extra battery as well). The 2032 batteries are very common and you might even have one on the shelf if you need to replace it in a pinch. Some of the other calipers use a much smaller battery, that in my opinion do not last very long at all. Watch out for that.How I went this long without owning one of these is beyond me. This is a very useful tool and it does a lot more than I realized.

Delivery on time and undamaged. Item as described as per pictures. Comes in plastic storage box and ready to go, with two additional batteries.Less expensive than some of the premium brands but so far found this a dawdle to use with a clear digital readout. Seems to be accurate when tried with known measurements.Solid feel and smooth movement = better quality than the looks would suggest. Good value - recommended.
