This is the second time ordering this item. First time it was lost by USPO, I do not know how you can lose a 16' ladder. But second time ladder came without the rope and pulling system. So now I am still without a ladder because I have to return this one. You can not order the rope separately because it has to be put on by manufacturer. I am unhappy with Dewalt and Amazon both, Dewalt for shipping product that was missing parts and Amazon for not checking quality of companies they use.

Great ladder, lost a star rating because the inserts to prevent wind noise are missing and it does whistle with wind noise.

Ordered the 16 foot version. Do not expect to get a DXL3020 as described on Amazon or the DeWalt website. There are no rung plugs. The color is charcoal. The rung locks are metal rather than hardened plastic. I suspected there was something going on when I saw a $25 DeWalt discount in my shopping cart. Why? My guess is the DeWalt people or their supplier had an opportunity to reduce costs by using leftover parts from another ladder line and decided to use those parts on the 16 foot DXL3020. I think the discount was seen as a way for customers to get over the switch. The ladder only extends to about 13 feet and is also pretty narrow so I have to go up it sideways. But other than that it is a pretty good ladder and can easily support 300 lbs. I deducted one star for the fact that it is kind of narrow. The switched hardware definitely takes away from the cool design of the standard 3020 and the metal hardware probably creates more noise when raising or lowering the ladder when compared to ladders made to the original spec.

Due to the considerable snow fall and associated ice dam troubles on our roof, we saw ourselves forced to buy a (medium-size) ladder, short enough to reach the lower ends of the roof and long enough to deal with the higher parts. This ladder suited the purpose perfectly. We ordered the ladder for overnight delivery. In spite of a heavy snow fall and a long, cumbersome, snow-covered driveway, the ladder was awaiting us on the patio when we arrived home (thank you UPS.) In flawless condition. The ladder is exceptionally sturdy and undemanding to carry around (even trudging through the snow). Both in our 60’s and merely hobby DIY-ers (i.e. no muscle marvels), the ladder is comfortable to carry (weight perspective). In the mere few days since we took possession, the ladder has been plenty busy. And, both my spouse and I have felt at ease on the ladder in all extended configurations. We can recommend the ladder without any hesitation. It’s a quality item and a very handy size, extending effortlessly under unpleasant weather conditions (and subsequently shorten), with excellent stability. And, in spite of the near $18.00 add-on for overnight delivery, we consider this ladder outstanding value.

Well, I needed a new ladder for household chores, such as pruning, painting and cleaning gutters. My old aluminum ladder was becoming difficult to extend and, as a 65 year old man, I didn't feel as confident on it as I used to. I looked into various multifold ladders but I was put off by the reviews and, when I went to look at them in person, I found their weight to be a problem. So I took a chance on the DeWalt Fiberglas Extension Ladder.Best ladder I've ever owned! It is lightweight for its size, easily extended, and is comfortable to stand on for long periods. More importantly, the ladder has a wide stance and a very solid, safe feel. The pivoting feet grip well and can be positioned to grip soil areas securely without danger of slipping.I am very happy with my purchase.

I'm a single chick living alone....and I needed a ladder to clean my gutters. This ladder is superior in quality, easy for me to lift, maneuver and operate. The bottom feet dig in and this thing didn't budge while I was installing a support for my window air conditioner. I didn't feel at any time that I needed a "spotter". It was worth every penny and will last a lifetime!

I tend to stick with DeWalt more than any other brand; I trust them. They aren't always the most up-to-date, but they are built smartly, which is what I really care about. This ladder is no different. All of the parts are designed to take a lot of abuse, but I don't abuse it.The feet of course flip backwards so they can be stuck into the dirt. They aren't cheaply fastened on, more sturdy construction. The weight is very light, typical of pretty much all modern ladders, and there isn't any uneasy wobbling or twisting when its fully extended. The safety catch is a little bit of a trick, but I'm getting used to popping it back and forth to raise and lower it.I've not had any problems with it and very happy to having invested in this ladder as I expect it to be with me for many, many years.
