This is a comprehensive kit (see image) containing more than what was originally evident in the product description. Not only did it have the 3amp usb adapters I needed for the dual camera dash cam system drawing 2.5amps, but it also included an auxiliary installation voltmeter and a universal adapter cable. Pricing was 60% of that on eBay. Unfortunately, the factory wafer seal was broken on the first kit I received and it had been resealed with nylon tape. The second kit was perfect and had it been the original shipment, I wouldn’t have hesitated giving a five star review. Take care to inspect your purchases before opening them.

Works perfectly for 2024 Blazer EV. Recommend you watch the YouTube video on how to remove the cover. Installation took less than 5min.

Honestly could not be any easier to install and use - and the completed project for powering my dashcam looks very profession without a lot of extra wire. It took 15 minutes from start to finish, including the time to install the dashcam this power tap was for. The entire assembly was plug and play. Easy to follow instructions.

Does not work on my 2014 Chevy Silverado. Mirror has power, added adapter for dash cam, but the dash cam did not power. Returned.

I love this adapter!!! I used it to tap into the wiring in my rearview mirror. Hooking up the splitter to the cabling inside the mirror was super simple and the kit bought enough splitter to add 2 USB ports. It powers my dashcam beautifully and i have seen no glitching or power surging from this kit. Cable is nice and compact and hides very easily in the mirror casing.

Used fingers to pull on sides of mirror mount cover, pops off easily enough. Then remove center piece, there are two snaps on top section, be careful with those, once you release those it just slides out, bottom section just has two fingers that slide into main piece. I removed the factory plug in section from the mirror mount itself. You will see a torx screw just above the plug, remove that screw, very small, hold onto mirror, don`t drop screw. Once mirror is in your hand you will need very small flat screwdriver to push the tab holding the plug to mirror. If you do not do this step, you are going to have fun trying to put the plastic cover back on. Once the plug is loose put the mirror back onto bracket and replace screw, make sure the mirror bracket is tight to frame by gently moving mirror while tightening screw. Once you plug in the adapter, the easiest way to have the power wires coming out is too have them come out the center hole section at bottom of main plastic housing, so wires are at bottom of mirror post. You will have to figure out where to move the plastic plugs around to be able to snap main housing back into place, be careful doing this when pushing housing you don`t want to break the snaps on the housing. Once you get the main housing set the center piece should be no problem, slide the two fingers down into slots and carefully press the top snaps in, you might have too play with this a little depending on where you pushed the plugs to get out of the way of the main housing. Make sure your connectors are pushed in tight. The vehicle either has to be running or you can push start button without the brake and hold till all the dash lights come on then you will have power to mirror. Test power in USB`s before Reinstalling the housing, and then again after it is all back together to make sure nothing came apart, the small connectors for the USB wires can only go in one way, if they are not going together, turn the plug around. Take your time, do not attempt if you are crunched for time, good way to break something. Perfect fit plugs, and works as advertised. Using for GPS and Dashcam. If you do not have factory auto dimming mirror this will not work in case you did not read that in desciption.
