I was looking for an easier hard wire install for my Dash cam, and the thing popped up and I knew I had to try itEspecially for the price this is a pretty easy recommendation, as it does get the job done for my Dash cam. I also like the extra USB for other things I might need more consistent power.Well I know the ad says that it will turn off if the juice is under certain voltage, and while I don't want to test it myself, I do kind of wonder if it actually will or if I'll be stranded one of these daysI think I might be just me being anxious, but I just wanted to mention. I think if you're wanting to not mess with the fuse box but want a more clean look for your dash cam, this could be a good option for you

This solved my issue of having to run a cord across the top of the steering column to reach the power plug in the center console. Was able to tuck the wire down the weather stripping and pull power from the obd port.

When not in used this is a pretty useless plug but now I have some extra USB power for my phone and other devices.Great use of the OBD plug. This is going into my RV because I need the extra plug near the driver side.Solid use for the OBD plug.

Works, however it is constant power so if you leave something plugged in you do risk draining your battery.My OBD port is under my dash and not easy to get to but I will definitely keep this in my jockey box so that I can charge/use multiple devices while traveling, I was really hoping this would allow me to have my dash cam plugged in and turn on/off with my vehicle, unfortunately it does not do as I expected it, but it does work.
