Great bit! Have only tried it on thin polycarbonate so far, but cuts were clean and bit didn't get too hot. Haven't been able to run the bit very long, but if it dulls quickly, I'll update my review.

I got this bit along with a number of other bits from the same company. The packaging for is very nice which I really appreciate. This bit is very sharp, and has no visible imperfections. I'll update the review if it dulls quickly, or some quality problem becomes apparent. The price is fair for the quality so this is a very fair value. At this point I consider them perfect - 5 Stars!

This is a gorgeous router bit! The geometry is precise, with clean, razor sharp edges. The compression cut left clean edges on both sides of the material, with zero blowout, in both wood and expanded PVC. The runout, concentricity, and size of the bit all test well within the tolerances given in the product listing. Finally, the bit comes with a reference guide for speeds and feeds in various materials, which has proven to give excellent results. When I first started, twice the money (in early 2000s dollars) would barely get you a bit that was half this good.

This is a nicely cut bit with a single flute. This style of bit is useful for plastics, apparently. It has a smooth shank and a nanocoating that is supposed to prolong the bit's life by dissipating heat. I can't vouch for that, but the machining of the flute is really tight.

Upon opening the shipping package from Amazon I immediately thought that if packaging means anything then this router bit is going to be a winner. The bit comes in a very nice plastic storage box that is inside of a flexible vinyl container. Inside the box is the router bit which has a vinyl end cover on it to protect the end of the bit.In my experience packaging isn't everything so I then mounted the router bit into my router table. I proceeded to make some test cuts with this router bit against melamine, plywood, pine and hard maple that I had laying around my shop. The results from using this router bit totally blew me away. To say that this router bit made the cuts like a hot knife going through butter does not do it justice. This bit flew through the wood like the wood wasn't even there. Leaving behind a perfect dado cut in all four woods. The bottom and sides of the cut were perfectly smooth and flat. There is even a sheet included that specifies feed rates and speeds for different materials.I cannot recommend this bit highly enough. If the rest of this brand's bits are of the quality of this bit I may have found a new brand to buy my router bits from.

I am using this bit in my router. So far it makes clean and crisp cuts and isn't burning the wood. The price point is considerably cheaper than other popular brands, so I hope the bits holds up well. It remains to be seen how long the cutting edge lasts, and I'm not sure what to make of the coating on the bit. I've never used a coated bit before until this, and I can't honestly tell a difference. Hopefully this bit lasts me many years

This 1/8-inch single O-flute upcut carbide router bit with 1/4-inch shank is designed for use in wood or plastic. The bit comes with “speed and feed” information. It is also coated with a proprietary coating to reduce friction and prolong life. Machining of the fluke is well done. The shank is inscribed with brand and size information for easy reordering.The 1/4” shank provides extra rigidity and allows the bit to be used in a trim router without special adapters.Though designed for wood and plastic, the bit really shines when used to make slots in plastic such as acrylic.This is a well-made single O-fluke carbide cutter.

I received a few of these Aoranto bits to test in my CNC router. I was impressed with the quality of the packaging immediately, they come in a hard plastic case like most other bits, but these also have a soft vinyl cap over the flutes inside the case. They each come with a sheet that has basic feeds and speeds for various materials, which I found helpful in setting up the bits in my cutter library. The finish is extremely well polished, and the edges are crisp and sharp. I have tested these in MDF, HDPE, and solid Teak wood so far and they perform exactly as they should. I would definitely recommend these, and will be purchasing from this brand again!
