Needed to enlarge a plumbing cutout in shower so that I could get access to service the shower valve. (Genius tile installer from 20 years ago left virtually no room). This bit did the trick, and I'm sure it could cut a several more times before it wears out.The hole shown in the photo was made larger by the bit. It did the trick.

Tried a diamond blade for my oscillating tool prior to this but that failed before I could get thru the surface of the tile.Was skeptical how well these would cut the ceramic tile so bought 2. To my surprise the bit zipped thru the tile and after cutting 4 12" tiles lengthwise the bit was still ready to cut more. Great purchase.

It took me a bit to learn how to use it (the bit is sharp and will walk if you don't hold it tight or use it to cut around outlet boxes or a hard edge like a 2x4}. After a couple of cuts (OK, maybe more than a couple of cuts) I get nice straight, clean cuts in the sheetrock.

Can`t give a honest review because I never got to use it on drywall. I can only say the drill bit is a lot smaller than I thought it would be so for that I gave it 3 stars.

I purchased this spiral bit along with the Dremel hole cutter/straight edge guide and couldn't be happier. This bit does a great job cutting through materials and leaves a very clean edge. It's always a good idea to have a duct collection solution ready, because this has potential to make some messes, but it really gets the job done.
