Whiteside Machine Company has been in the router bit business for over 30 years providing customer with quality products while at the same time striving to achieve complete customer satisfaction. Several woodworking magazines have tested Whiteside versus the competition and selected Whiteside as the winner for best router bits available in the market. Whiteside Machine Company was founded in 1970 as a general purpose machine shop in the basement of Bill & Bobbie Whiteside's home. Located in Western North Carolina near the furniture manufacturing town of Hickory, the company was often involved in making repairs or special parts for the furniture and woodworking field. A strong commitment to customer problem-solving, a can-do attitude, and innovative ideas, along with a growing core of dedicated employees, helped the business evolve into a manufacturer of woodworking equipment and tooling. Primarily through repeat business and referrals, the tooling business continued to grow to meet a demand for quality production router bits as well as custom application tooling. Today, Whiteside Machine occupies a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and produces a complete line of solid carbide and carbide tipped router bits. Whiteside's quality, innovation, and customer commitment is still present in our superb product line, in the design of custom tooling to fill special customer requirements, and in the development of special machinery and tooling for our own manufacturing use. As always, Whiteside Machine is continuously striving to improve our product through new technology, improved production techniques, and ongoing research and development efforts; along with rigid quality control, vital customer feedback and extensive field testing. Cuts great but guide bearings literally fell off in the first board I cut. Didn’t make it 10ftExpected way more from white side

Just get this one. It's miles better than any of the colored Amazon brands you'll see on here. This thing absolutely chews through zip sheeting when routing out rough ins during framing. Hit a couple nails with it and it didn't even chip surprisingly

This bit worked great trimming red oak edge banding I made. In combination with the FastCap Little Lipper it cut a perfectly smooth edge.

I use this bit with acrylic templates for charcuterie board handles. Cuts smooth, no tear out, and glides with ease. I will definitely be buying more bits from whiteside.

If one is using it in a trim router be very careful, it can grab and kick pretty easily. But it does a really nice job with the flush trim.

I have a healthy distrust for flush trim bits. I used to veneer cabinets for aircraft interior remodeling and every now and then, a bearing would fail, or the bit would find some other way to mar the piece. No arrangement of profanity will buy back the time you lose when this happens.Bought this bit after seeing it used on a YT channel. Seemed expensive, but I was working with expensive materials, and a short turnaround. After a few panels, I was able to settle into a more confident state of mind. Turns out a little extra $$ is totally worth it. Besides, it's a very satisfying experience to see the edge this bit creates. Now I can't wait to use it again. : )

I needed to make a bunch of chairs and made templates to flush trim the stock (0.75” and 1”). Instead of precut the pieces on a bandsaw I tried to shortcut the process by directly route the material at once. Long story short it doesn’t work that way since bit in contact with the waste side as well. At some point it messes up the template since scrap test piece was slightly warped:( Anyway, I ended up using the bandsaw and a regular 1/2” straight trim bit (right side of piece in 2nd picture). Also, the small diameter having the disadvantage that imperfections in the templates telemarking more than on a larger diameter bit. Bottom line for me is that I will use the smaller bit only when need in small curves, corners.

This bit is absolutely incredible--the sharpest, cleanest cutting bit I've ever used. There isn't much to say other than that this is the most well-machined and smooth-cutting bit I've ever used (and I think I already said that in my last sentence). It blew through cuts removing 3/16" of endgrain of 3/4" bloodwood (which is really, really a bear to work with) with my little 1HP Bosch trim router. Not a hint of dust--only the most beautiful spiral shavings. After a fair bit of use, no sign of dulling, although I expect every bit has its day... Whiteside is an incredible company, manufacturing high-quality bits here in NC. If you need a good flush-trim bit for a 1/4" router, get this one. You should also do some research as to whether an upcutting or downcutting spiral bit is more suitable to your needs, and whether a top or bottom bearing bit is what you want. For me, this was perfect.
